Standing in Minneapolis' historic train depot today, I was reminded that meaningful destinations are built one track at a time.
Looking back, every chapter of my life has added another section of track to the journey.
The entrepreneur learned to build.
The immigrant learned to adapt.

The Market Director is learning that the greatest impact comes not from what we accomplish ourselves, but from what we help others become.

✨ There is something powerful about women coming together with purpose.
I was honored to be part of the Latin Women Initiatives event—an inspiring gathering that reminded me of what is possible when women come together to support, encourage, connect, and create opportunities for others. ❤️
The goal goes beyond celebrating women. It is about using our relationships, talents, resources, and influence to make a difference in our communities.
One of the organizations recognized through the initiative was Small Places / Finca Tres Robles, whose work in Houston is helping strengthen community through food, education, opportunity, and connection. 🌱
But what stayed with me most was the collective spirit in the room.
Because when women support women, we don’t have to do it alone.
We can open doors for one another.
We can share opportunities.
We can lift someone else’s vision.
We can turn connections into collaboration—and collaboration into impact.
Together, we are stronger. Together, we can create change. Together, we can help our communities flourish. ✨

I can make a friend in an elevator.
Not because I always know the perfect thing to say, but because I am genuinely curious about people.
I might ask, “What brought you here today?” or “What do you enjoy most about your work?” A short ride can become a meaningful connection when we listen with sincere interest.
Some professionals tell me they could never build a relationship-based business because they are not natural networkers. I disagree. Networking is not about being the loudest person in the room. It is about being present, asking a thoughtful second question, and remembering someone’s story.
That is also one of the most important qualities of a great financial advisor. People do not need another person talking at them. They need someone interested in understanding their goals, concerns, values, families, and dreams.
You do not have to become someone else to build relationships. Start with curiosity.

Sometimes God answers a prayer through an unexpected phone call.
Several years ago, I knew I wanted more than professional success. I wanted my work, faith, and values to point in the same direction.
Then one day, I received a call.
The person asked whether I would consider working with a faith-based Fortune 500 organization. I remember thinking, “God, is this the sign I have been waiting for?”
It was not simply an opportunity to enter financial services. It was the possibility of building a career where faith, service, financial education, and generosity could coexist.
That conversation changed the direction of my life. Today, I have the privilege of helping families pursue financial clarity and helping professionals explore careers where their values do not have to be left at the door.
Sometimes we ask God to show us the entire plan. Often, He simply shows us the next step. The question is whether we will recognize it and have the courage to take it.

One of the most meaningful ways I can honor Hispanic Heritage Month is by celebrating a part of my roots: my Spanish language. 🇪🇨❤️

The "Pain Cave" isn't a place I've only heard about. I've lived there.
At the Thrivent Women Conference, Olympic Champion Jessie Diggins shared her philosophy about the Pain Cave; the place where everything in you wants to quit, but growth is still asking you to take one more step.
As I listened, I couldn't help but reflect on my own journey.
Leaving Ecuador and building a life in a new country.
Walking through the pain of divorce.
Starting and rebuilding businesses in different industries.
Beginning over when it would have been easier to stay where I was.
None of those seasons were comfortable. None came with guarantees.
But every one of them developed resilience, strengthened my faith, and prepared me for the opportunity to serve others in ways I could never have imagined.
I've learned that growth rarely happens in our comfort zone. It happens when we decide to give everything we have, even when the outcome is uncertain.
As leaders, we face a similar choice every day:
Do we choose comfort, or do we choose growth?
The people who make the greatest impact are often the ones willing to embrace challenges with faith, courage, and purpose.
Looking back, what felt like my deepest valleys became some of God's greatest training grounds.
Maybe the challenge you're facing today isn't holding you back.
Maybe it's preparing you for your next calling.
