The Big Impact of the Small Yes: Why Your Hospitality Matters More Than You Know with Genesis Miranda Longo
If you're a leader who's been quietly saying yes — to the meal, the visit, the donation, the spare bedroom, the conversation no one else wanted to have — this session is for you. And it's especially for you if you've been wondering whether any of it still matters.
Génesis Miranda Longo grew up in a Sinaloa community where the most likely future was decided long before she was born. What changed her trajectory wasn't a grand intervention. It was a series of small yesses from strangers — a teacher who saw her, neighbors who invested in her parents' new business, scholarship reviewers who said yes.
The same is true for her son Kamdin, who arrived in the U.S. at 17 with only a backpack and is now in college, headed for engineering. In this 25-minute session, she shares her story as evidence of what small yesses actually do — and then offers nonprofit, church, and small business leaders a simple framework for recognizing and sharing the small-yes stories they're already living.
