How do Thrivent Action Teams work?
Gather a volunteer team of friends, family or neighbors to put on a fundraiser, educational event or service activity—like organizing a school supply drive, or hosting a car wash fundraiser. We’ll provide the resources you need to get started, including up to $250 in seed money.

Kelly Randel Foundation Birthday Celebration | August 2nd
We're excited to support this special event and invite our clients, friends, and families to join us for a day of celebration, fun, and giving back!
Come out to celebrate, enjoy the festivities, win prizes, and help raise funds for Baskets for Breasties in honor of Kelly Randel's birthday on August 2nd from 12-4pm. The proceeds from this event help make their incredible mission possible, providing thoughtful care packages to women receiving breast cancer treatment at Chicagoland hospitals.
Bring your friends and family - everyone is welcome, no RSVP needed! We hope you'll join us in supporting this meaningful cause and helping make a difference in the lives of so many women.

Summer Party with the Center | August 23rd
Join us for a fun-filled Summer Party on Sunday, August 23, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, immediately following the church service at The Center in Itasca. Everyone is welcome to attend the service, the celebration, or both!
Enjoy an afternoon of live music, delicious barbecue from Holy Smokes BBQ, and sweet treats and refreshing drinks from The Center Cup.
Best of all, all food and drinks are free! Donations will benefit The Center Cup and its mission of giving back to The Center, helping continue its work of sharing God's message and serving the community.
There's no RSVP required - just stop by for the service, the party, great food, make a donation, or enjoy all of the above! Bring your family and friends for a wonderful afternoon of fellowship, food, and fun.

Schaumburg Boomers Game | Aug 28th
You're invited to an exciting evening of baseball, family fun, and giving back on Thursday, August 28, at 6:00 PM as we cheer on the Schaumburg Boomers during their special "Chicago Burbs" themed night!
For one night only, the Boomers will take the field as the Chicago Burbs, celebrating the pride of the suburban communities that make this area such a great place to call home. It's a fun tribute to the neighborhoods that are "just a bit outside Chicago" while keeping the excitement of Boomers baseball front and center.
Your evening includes:
- Suite access
- Complimentary food and drinks
- A spectacular post-game fireworks show
- A chance for kids to run the bases after the game
Admission is free, but we encourage everyone to bring a donation of school supplies to benefit the Boys & Girls Club. Suggested donations include:
- Notebooks
- Folders
- Pencils and pens
- Crayons or colored pencils
- Markers
- Glue sticks
- Scissors
- Backpacks
- Loose-leaf paper
- Highlighters
Space is limited and tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve your spot, RSVP to Carson at carson.smith@thrivent.com.
