About Shawn Longhenry
About Shawn Longhenry

I'm proud to be a Thrivent financial professional. I provide personalized financial guidance to people at all stages of life. At Thrivent, we view money not as a goal, but as a tool — one that can afford you a life rich in meaning and gratitude. We believe humanity thrives when individuals make the most of all they've been given. I'm here to help you do just that and it's exactly why I made the move to Thrivent! I studied hard and completed the Certified Kingdom Advisor® and Certified Financial Planner® designations to not only put my clients interests first but also help them align their financial decisions and investments with their Christian values. My core belief is that God owns it all and our role is to wisely steward those resources while preparing the next stewards. I can think of two times over my lifetime where people of faith have stepped in to help me or my family. One helped me make a difference for another family and one helped my family. My new purpose is to improve the communities I serve by helping more people have protections in place and become financially secure, so they feel free to help others. One of my top 5 values is meaningful work so of course I love working for a financial company with Christianity as our common bond and all the good our members do for the causes they care about with the Thrivent Action Teams and Choice Dollars.

My family and reason I do what I do.

Weekend Fun!

When I have the chance I love spending time with family camping, fishing and hunting. My son Wyatt used my waders to go get a duck he got with our dog Taylor following along. Taylor wasn't retrieving at the time, but is now. Memories we will always remember!

Legacy planning doesn't have to be stressful. With the right tools and timely strategies, you can stay true to your vision and help your loved ones feel prepared. Here are a few key things to keep in mind: • The amount you can pass on without federal estate or gift tax is $15 million per person—or $30 million for married couples in 2026. These higher limits give families more flexibility and room to plan for the future. • Preparing your wealth transfer priorities today can make a meaningful difference. Name beneficiaries, establish a will and consider trusts. • Gifting can also play a role. Many people give annually to take advantage of the gift tax exclusion—up to $19,000 per person in 2026 without triggering gift tax. A thoughtful approach can help more of what you’ve built reach the people and causes you care about. ➡️ https://bit.ly/4hpRIzN
