Fridays during Lent are one of my favorite times of the year because of the community, comradery, and generosity at the St. John the Beloved Fish Fry events. I want to thank the close to 80 volunteers that made it possible to serve 505 meals in two hours! In addition, thank you to thank Serpe's Bakery for donating 6 dozen baked goods and for the team of volunteers who helped me run the dessert table.
At this year's first Fish Fry, we were blessed to be able to contribute by using a Thrivent Action Team for the dessert table. Before we started setting up the table, my team and I said a little prayer to sell out of all the baked goods, and we ended up selling out twice! Prayer answered above and beyond what we expected. What a fun event!
