Faith. Family. French Fries.
I hope you got a laugh out of the last one. I believe this life is meant to be enjoyed and there is so much to live for. With that being said, I would replace the French Fries with Meaningful Relationships. I know it doesn’t begin with the letter F, but if you can think of a word that does and encompasses the essence of Meaningful Relationships, send me a text or an email. I am interested in what you come up with!
Faith
My faith can be summarized in one word - love. What does this word mean to me?
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
As you can see love involves action, an action that places the needs of others above its own. Every interaction I have I want the other person to walk away knowing they are heard and seen. As others share their concerns with me, whether it be about finances or life, I make it my mission to use my God given gifts to serve them in any way I can! The financial aspect is only one piece of the puzzle. I care about you and every facet of your life, so just know when you come to me you are getting someone who has open ears and genuinely desires to discover what makes you so unique!
Family
My family is quite large, not by matching DNA but by choice. I elaborate more on the choice in my Meaningful Relationships section below. As far as my immediate family, they consist of all XX chromosome individuals – my wonderful and loving mother, my one younger compassionate and intelligent sister, and my second outgoing and bubbly sister.
Some people include pets in their families, so if I did that, I would include the 32 squirrels that scurry and hop in my backyard. I know you’re not supposed to have favorites, but my favorite is “Stubs.” He has a short stubby tail – hence the name Stubs.
Meaningful Relationships
Like I mentioned above, my family is quite large by choice. I work tirelessly to build lasting and meaningful relationships. Once I get to know you and our relationship is established, you are no longer considered an acquaintance or a friend but a member of my family – like my own brother or sister. I believe you have a purpose! When you and I work together to align your values and resources with that purpose you can positively impact the world around you.
So far, my family consists of church members, Bible study group members, work colleagues, people I met at the gym, former track, basketball, and baseball teammates, classmates, and so many more.
