I recently started taking piano lessons and was chatting with an instructor. He pointed out that adults are often harder on themselves than his students that are kids. Learning piano as a kid usually looks like weekly lessons over the course of years, accepting gradual progress and consistently showing up. It is too easy for adults to expect quick results, to fall into the trap of looking for five years worth of progress in five months - or even five weeks.
Having this art on the wall is a visual reminder to be a beginner, to enjoy the process, to spend a little time on something and then keep developing and learning. It is also a reminder to put people around you who will share in your success and encourage your progress. Someone who wants to get a piece of tape and display your artwork.
