Turning loss into legacy. This year, for our third "Love Gus" project a 9 square was added to the Linn Lutheran School playground. Thank you for those who attended chapel last week for the dedication and who helped make this special project successful. During the dedication Pastor spoke on the importance of play, rest, and of Sabbath. To do something for the sake of joy. Drum roll, please! 🥁🥁🥁For the third year, the Adopt a Teacher project is officially a success. (PS - Some supplies are still arriving!) In addition, Adopt a Teacher was only one part of the story. An additional 27 Action Team grants were used by our clients to directly support local classrooms this August.What does that mean?🍎 107 teachers supported💰 $13,375 through Adopt a Teacher🏫 $6,750 in additional grants to local classrooms❤️ Over $20,000 impact in our local schools this August(Not counting the numerous applications we saw for concessions and sports equipment!)What an incredible thing to be a part of as our schools opened their doors for another year! It's a lot of work, but WOW! The work is worth it. We are so grateful, Lord. Thank you for showing up and taking care of each other.
