Swimming For A Cause
Our advisor Katherine Gross is no stranger to diving in and making waves. As a financial advisor she is experienced with assessing client needs and guiding her clients toward their financial goals. But as a member of Swamp Water Aquatics of Gainesville, a competitive swimmer, and an active member of the Gainesville community, she is experienced at assessing a need within her community and guiding her steps toward taking action.
By hosting fundraising events like Swim-a-thons, Katherine uses her passion for swimming to raise awareness for those who suffer from Autoimmune Encephalitis and raise money to donate to organizations with the same mission such as Autoimmune Encephalitis Alliance. After witnessing a family member be misdiagnosed due to a lack of awareness about the disease, Katherine has become an AE advocate and has pledged to ensure that members of her community and beyond are aware of Autoimmune Encephalitis and its effects.
Thrivent Scout Community
Avonlea advisor Greg Sinatra has found a passion for service through many collaborations with the local Troops of Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America). From Personal Management to Bugling Merit Badge Workshops, Greg brings our clients together with scouts to make an impact locally with cause organizations. This includes the Atlanta Area Council of Scouting America, Taps For Veterans and The Sandwich Project. Greg also uses Bugling to inspire scouts and to put purpose into action by honoring our active military and veterans through music.
Through support form the Thrivent Scout Community of Greater Atlanta, website ScoutBuglers.com was created. It is a comprehensive resource and hub for scout buglers to visit for valuable content, tutorials, and community support to enhance their bugling skills.
