I truly love what I do. My team and I are dedicated to bringing financial clarity to our clients’ lives. At the heart of our work is helping people answer the essential question: "What should I do with my money?"
While the question may seem simple, the answer is often complex. We take a holistic approach, considering each client’s goals, concerns, risk tolerance, time horizon, tax situation, family dynamics, and more. Together, we build a personalized financial roadmap that reflects all these factors. Once the plan is in place, we rigorously stress-test it against scenarios like social security changes, inflation, and market downturns. Over time, we update the plan and monitor progress, ensuring every decision supports your long-term vision.
Most of my clients are affluent individuals who are retired or approaching retirement. They face the dual challenge of balancing safety and growth—protecting income for today while planning for tomorrow’s needs. To address this, I use a proven strategy: segmenting assets into "buckets," each with its own time frame and purpose. This approach has helped my clients navigate many market cycles over my 25+ years in the industry.

My journey as a Wealth Advisor began early, shaped by my family’s resilience and values. My mother immigrated to the US from China at age 12, and my father—one of nine children—was the first in his family to graduate from college. Their challenging upbringings instilled in me the importance of honesty, education, and discipline.
Growing up in Minnesota, I entered the workforce at age 12, delivering newspapers through snow and rain for six years. That experience taught me the power of discipline and consistency—lessons reinforced by working five jobs and 40 hours a week throughout high school, and by paying my way through the University of Minnesota, where I studied business and finance.

After graduation, I joined General Mills in corporate finance, but soon realized my true passion was working directly with people and seeing the impact of my efforts. In 1999, I transitioned to financial advising at Thrivent in San Diego, just as the tech bubble burst—another invaluable lesson in resilience. Four years later, I moved to Kailua, Hawaii, my wife’s hometown, where I continue to serve clients nationwide.
With 25 years of experience, I feel I’m in the “sweet spot” of my career—seasoned, yet energized for the future. Outside of work, I cherish time with my wife Kristin and our children, Rain and Ocean. I enjoy travel, skiing, surfing, fitness, and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings.
