About Aric Ahlgren
My journey to becoming a Wealth Advisor started with exceptional examples in my own life. My mother immigrated to the US from China at the age of 12, and my father was the first in his family to graduate from college. Together, they taught me that success is only achieved through hard work and discipline.
I took those lessons to heart when I got my first job at the age of 12, a paper route. Though I didn't know it at the time, trudging through the Minnesota snow twice per day, 365 days per year for 6 years taught me about discipline. And working 40 hours per week across 5 jobs in high school taught me about hard work. As the years have passed, I have found those childhood lessons to be invaluable in my career as a Wealth Advisor. Dedication to a plan and consistency in approach are fundamental to achieving financial success.
Over the course of my career, I have continued to pursue designations and education to ensure that my clients have a partner who is always pursuing ways to better serve them. One of the designations that has brought a lot of value to my clients and how we work together is the CFP™. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, I follow a 6-step process when working with my clients:
- Agreeing on objectives
- Understanding the current situation
- Analyzing potential solutions
- Explaining available options
- Implementing changes, and
- Monitoring progress
Of these steps, I believe that the most important is “Monitoring progress”. Getting the plan in place is a huge accomplishment, but the ongoing work and relationship is even more important. I meet with my clients on a consistent basis to ensure we are progressing towards their goals and making adjustments as warranted. Every time we get together, our team will ensure that there is value that we can add to your plan and make progress toward financial clarity.
While my work is important to me, I also love spending time with my family, surfing, skiing, and traveling.
