Thrive With Purpose | Thrivent

The Power of Partnerships: Thrivent Money Canvas™ Program Today’s economy has many households rethinking their finances, and their giving. With 63% of Americans living paycheck to paycheck*, the impact on your church and our communities is real. But as the Rev. Billy Graham said, "If a person gets his attitude toward money straight, it will help straighten out almost every other area in their life." That’s why Thrivent is excited to introduce Money Canvas, a FREE virtual money coaching program that can help everyday people build healthier budgeting and saving habits. As an enrolled Thrivent Choice organization, we think you’ll find Money Canvas to be a great resource for your congregation and staff – enabling all to become better stewards of their family finances, and ultimately, stronger supporters of your church. Curious to learn more? Join us online Thursday, January 19, at 12:30 p.m. ET for a 30-minute overview. We’ll describe the three different coaching sessions offered, the ideal participants (it’s a great tool for pre-marital counseling), and the ongoing support and accountability provided. Thrivent sees Money Canvas as a means for everyone to learn basic money management skills. There’s no judgment, no cost, no pressure, and no sales pitch. Click the Join button below to register, and feel free to invite others in your church community to join in the discussion. Scheduling conflict? Reach out to discuss. And no worries, no products will be sold. We look forward to seeing you! Thrivent Engagement Team – Pennsylvania Questions: Contact: Carolyn Schnizler Wilt, Thrivent Engagement Leader – Northeast Group, at Carolyn.schnizlerwilt@thrivent.com or 484-388-0858. *Source: More Americans live paycheck to paycheck as inflation outpaces income (cnbc.com) 10/24/22

Thrivent & the TRAAC Working Together In an effort to help continue the work that the TRAAC is doing to keep everyone active and connected with one another, Thrivent has donated a special tree for keeping in touch. You will find this “Smile” Tree covered with pictures of members that you know and miss as well as new people that have joined our TRAAC family. Thrivent is encouraging everyone to maintain contact. If you would like to stay in touch with some of your friends, please drop off a note and they will find it in with their picture ornament. If there are letters or cards to be sent out to someone you haven’t seen or chatted with, the TRAAC will send them out for you. All you need to do is drop them off at the front desk. It is important to surround yourself with friends and family and communication is a vital part for support and comfort. Friends and family are needed at times of joy and times of distress. Studies have shown that having supportive relationships are a strong protective factor against mental illnesses and helps to increase the mental well-being. Thrivent has also supplied gift bags with activities for those who are homebound at this time. It is important to keep the mind and body active as we move into the fall and winter months ahead. The good news is that regardless of your age, there are proactive steps you can take to keep your brain healthy and reduce your risk of developing dementia, depression or other mental conditions. Thinking games such as the daily crossword puzzle, Sudoku, Scrabble are just a few of the brain-training games that can keep you sharp. Enjoying a new hobby, keeping your stress level under control, and seeking out social interaction are all ways that can keep your mind and body active. Stop by and check out the tree of smiles at the TRAAC! You too can be a part of the Smile Tree program. Everyone is welcome! TRAAC is not affiliated with or endorsed by Thrivent.
