About Trinity Advisor Group

With over 70 years of combined experience & each financial advisor representing a different generation, we at the Trinity Advisor Group (T.A.G.) build our process on three cornerstones; T.A.G. :

 

T - Tax Strategy

We believe that Taxation is the most overlooked aspect of retirement planning. Implementing a strategy to address taxation is a powerful action a person can take to plan for financial success.

 

A – Advice

We believe the greatest value we provide is to help replacing financial confusion with clarity. We do this by providing unbiased advice that encompasses your entire situation, not just financial products. It is this type of advice that has allowed us to serve families for generations.

I grew up on a small farm near Lowry, MN and graduated from Glenwood High School. Married to my wife Amy for 31 years, we have two children Brayden & Alison. Brayden, age 29 graduated from the University of MN with a Sports Management degree. He is currently working as a sales representative for Branded Bills and resides in Gilbert, AZ. Alison, age 25 graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead MN with a double major in Neuroscience & Psychology. She recently got engaged to Jace and we are excited to be planning a June wedding. She plans to extend her education and attend medical school. She is married to Jace and they are living in Duluth. Alison is in her 2nd year of medical school at the University of Minnesota Duluth and Jace works at Bell Bank.

 

Amy and I enjoy biking, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, lake time, travelling the country, and glamping in our travel trailer. I also enjoy golfing and Amy has multiple sewing machines and loves to do crafting, canning pickles, applesauce, pears and makes multiple versions of salsa. She has also been told she makes the best monster cookie on the planet.

 

Before coming to Thrivent, I used to sell computer software systems to healthcare facilities. Due to my interest in financial planning and working with people, in 2002 I joined Thrivent and I enjoy working with my clients on a daily basis helping them improve their financial situation.

I was born, raised, and currently reside in the Alexandria area with my family. I am blessed to say that I have been married to my amazing wife, Tahlia, since July of 2016. We have three beautiful children: Micah (4 years old), Eli (2 years old), and Violet (7 months old). As a family we love to play outside, go to parks, fish, spend quality family time at home, and being involved at our church. Tahlia enjoys sewing, baking, and gardening while I enjoy hunting, fishing, and working on projects around our home.

Though being in finance was not originally what we had in mind, God had different plans for me and my family. I started off as an elementary teacher in the wonderful school district of Parkers Prairie. Four and a half years into the profession of teaching I was presented the wonderful opportunity to combine three things in my life that I am very passionate about and turn them into a new career: teaching, finance, and faith. Here at Thrivent, I am able to help and teach others about different financial strategies while doing so from a Christ centered basis.
