About Me
I love to help people learn. In my previous career as a teacher, I loved to make my students’ lives better and watch things start to make sense to them. As a Financial Advisor, I still get the deep satisfaction of teaching, but with the clients that I work with. My journey to Thrivent began as a client where I experienced the feeling of receiving financial clarity with a focus on generosity. I knew that I needed to be a part of passing this on and spreading that in my own community.
As a kid, we had a list of chores that we would do each week that each had a dollar amount. When we would complete them, we would earn paper coins that we accumulated in Country Crock containers that we had upcycled into piggy banks. Whenever we were paid, we would give 10% to our church, 20% went into savings, and then we could spend 70%.
Thanks to all of our extra Country Crock containers, these principles have stuck with me. I still give to my church, save consistently, and have a goal for every dollar. I love helping you decide what the purpose for your money is and how we can ensure that your values are embedded into every piece of it.
Outside of my work with clients I love to spend time with my family. I have been married to my wife for almost 15 years, and we have two kids - a son and a daughter. We love going to Legoland, the beach, playing disc golf, hiking, and playing board games. I am a big fan of strategy board games that involve either Star Trek or Lord of the Rings.
