On June 3rd we hosted a Document Shredding drop-off and food drive with First Lutheran Church Fullerton. Church member, Terri Robertson, with her Thrivent Action Team, supplied half of the shredding service and Stephanie Shields and Luke Cattau provided the rest along with a delicious taco lunch. Many wonderful donations were collected, as you can see in the picture. We had a great time meeting everyone, enjoying tacos, and helping restock the food pantry’s shelves. We could have not done it without the wonderful help from the church, Terri, and our clients! Joyce finished her Quilt for Valor for her Thrivent Action Team. Their mission is to cover Service Members and Veterans touched by war with comforting and healing quilts. Our clients and friends Rita and Terry Lehigh led an action team to support the L.O.T.S (Life on the streets) ministry that offers a hot lunch, showers, clothes washing/drying, a sack lunch and more every Saturday morning to the local homeless population at the Crossings church in Costa Mesa, CA.
