Saturday Reflections ☕
There's something about Saturday that gives you a chance to slow down, look back at the week you just finished, appreciate what went well, learn from what didn't, and start looking forward to the opportunities waiting in the week ahead.
As I reflected on this past week, one thing keeps coming to mind: I really do love what I get to do. For 27 years, I have had the privilege of being part of Thrivent, and after all this time, what I have come to appreciate the most isn't simply the career I've built. It's the people, the relationships, and the purpose behind the work.
I love my office. I love the team I get to work alongside. And I love being part of an organization that believes finances can be about so much more than numbers on a page.
We get to help people think about what matters most to them, care for their families, prepare for the future, live generously, and use what they've been given to make a difference in the lives of others. That mission has meant a lot to me over these 27 years. Every week brings different opportunities to serve. And while Friday closes the door on another busy work week, I'm grateful that Monday will open it again.
So this Saturday, I'm thankful for 27 years with Thrivent, an incredible team, the people who trust us to walk alongside them, and the opportunity to do work with purpose.
With all that said I am going to enjoy the weekend. Monday, we get to do it all over again.

🎳 Did you know today is National Bowling League Day! 🎳
Bowling season is almost here, and I am ready to get back on the lanes with this crew! This is only half of our team. Yes, there are six of us altogether becuase apparently it takes six people to keep four bowlers healthy, available, and out of trouble every week.
Looking forward to another season with these three and our other teammates. Lots of strikes, probably a few gutter balls, plenty of laughs, and maybe even a little friendly competition. Here's to a great season ahead and to the people who make league night something to look forward to!

September begins National Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Month, and for us, it means remembering Pops.
I love this picture becuase it captures Pops exactly where he belonged: surrounded by family, arms around the people he loved, with that big smile on his face. Moments like this seemed ordinary at the time. Now they are priceless.
This mont, we remember Pops. We honor everyone who has fought leukemia or lymphoma, those who are still fighting, and the families who have walked beside them.
Gone from the picture today, but never missing from our hearts.

She may not answer emails, return phone calls, or understand the concept of personal space, but she's pretty good at reminding me that the best way to tackle a busy week is one thing at a time. With a good attitude and somebody (or some puppy) by your side.
