"What’s Your Retirement Style? Discover What Works for You" with Dr. Wade Pfau

Dr. Wade Pfau, known as the “Professor of Retirement Income,” brings years of expertise in helping both financial advisors and clients understand the behavioral drivers behind their retirement decisions. In this engaging, conversation-style event with Thrivent’s Adam Jorgenson, Dr. Pfau will introduce his RISA survey (Retirement Income Style Awareness) through the analogy of mountain climbing. The accumulation phase is like climbing the mountain, while the distribution phase is about safely navigating the descent—each requiring distinct skills and strategies.

Wade and Adam will explore a variety of retirement income strategies, from total return approaches to income protection, and discuss how an individual's preferences for income style and flexibility can shape their retirement plan. After the event, attendees will have the opportunity to identify their own income style using the RISA survey and share their unique results with their Thrivent advisor to help them create customized retirement income strategies.
