About RONALD THOMAS

I help individuals, families, retirees, and professionals gain clarity and confidence around some of life's most important financial decisions. Whether you're preparing for retirement, planning for education expenses, protecting your family, or thinking about the legacy you want to leave, my goal is to help you create a strategy that aligns your resources with your values and the future you envision.

At Thrivent, I take a holistic approach to financial planning that goes beyond investments alone. Together, we'll focus on the areas that matter most to you, including retirement planning, risk management, tax-efficient strategies, and legacy planning. I believe money is not a goal in itself, but a tool that can help create a life of purpose, meaning, and lasting impact.

Before becoming a Financial Advisor, I built a successful career in supply chain and logistics management, where solving complex challenges and developing practical solutions were part of my everyday work. Today, I bring that same analytical and problem-solving mindset to helping clients navigate financial decisions and create plans tailored to their unique goals and circumstances.

My passion for financial advising stems from a desire to help others avoid common financial pitfalls and make informed decisions with confidence. Having experienced financial setbacks and lessons of my own, I understand the value of trusted guidance and the peace of mind that comes from having a clear plan. As a husband, father of adult children, and proud grandfather, I also understand the importance of protecting what matters most and building a legacy that can benefit future generations.

Beyond my work with clients, I am committed to serving others through leadership, mentorship, and community engagement. Through Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., I support efforts that promote leadership development and financial literacy for young men. I also serve in pastoral ministry, helping individuals and families navigate life's opportunities and challenges with wisdom, faith, and purpose.

When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me spending time with family, serving in ministry, or enjoying a ride on my Trek FX1.

#FinancialFreedomFriday We spend a lot of time planning for what we want to happen. Retirement. Travel. Helping our children. Leaving a legacy. But a complete financial plan should also consider something most of us would rather not think about: What happens if you can't make the decisions? If illness, an accident, or incapacity suddenly prevented you from managing your financial life tomorrow... Who knows what you have? Who knows where everything is? Who understands what you wanted? Who has the legal authority to act? And would your family know what to do—or would they be left trying to figure it out during an already difficult moment? That's part of financial planning too. Because financial freedom isn't only about the choices you can make today. It's also about intentionally preparing for how decisions will be handled when you cannot make them yourself. Accounts matter. Investments matter. Insurance matters. But so do beneficiaries, powers of attorney, estate documents, organized records, and conversations with the people who may someday need to step in. 📌 A plan shouldn't only answer, “What happens to my money?” It should also answer, “Who makes the decisions if I can't?” That isn't being pessimistic. That's being prepared. 📩 DM me. Let's talk about whether your financial strategy has considered the decisions that may need to be made—not just the dollars you've accumulated. #FinancialFreedomFriday #FinancialPlanning #LegacyPlanning #StewardshipMatters 📌 See thrivent.com/social for important disclosures.

#ThriveThursday | Your Money Needs a Job Description We spend years working for our money. But at some point, we should ask: What is our money working for? Not every dollar should have the same job. Some money may need to be available for emergencies. Some may be intended for retirement. Some may be invested for long-term goals. Some may help protect the people you love. Some may be there to enjoy life today. And some may eventually become part of the legacy you leave behind. The problem comes when we accumulate money without knowing what we're asking it to accomplish. Having $100,000 in an account tells you what you have. It doesn't necessarily tell you what that $100,000 needs to do. That's where planning matters. We begin with the goal—and then determine what role your money needs to play in pursuing it. Because your money shouldn't just sit in different accounts without direction. You worked hard for your money. Now make sure your money knows its assignment. If you have accounts but aren't sure how they all connect to what you're trying to accomplish, let's talk. 📌 See thrivent.com/social for important disclosures. #ThriveThursday #FinancialPlanning #FinancialClarity #PurposeDrivenWealth

#WisdomWednesday Your paycheck has a job description. Does every dollar know its assignment? Most of us would never run a business where money came in and nobody knew where it was supposed to go. Payroll. Rent. Inventory. Taxes. Future growth. Each dollar has a purpose. But with our personal finances, it can be easy to let money arrive, pay whatever is due, spend what’s left—and hope we’re moving in the right direction. What if instead, your money had assignments? Some for today. Some for emergencies. Some for retirement. Some for protection. Some for the people and causes that matter to you. It’s not necessarily about earning more. Sometimes it’s about being more intentional with what you already earn. Wisdom is making sure your money isn't just coming in and going out—it’s working toward the things that matter to you. #WisdomWednesday #FinancialPlanning #FinancialWisdom #MoneyManagement #PlanWithPurpose 📌 See thrivent.com/social for important disclosures.
