About RONALD THOMAS

I help individuals, families, retirees, and professionals gain clarity and confidence around some of life's most important financial decisions. Whether you're preparing for retirement, planning for education expenses, protecting your family, or thinking about the legacy you want to leave, my goal is to help you create a strategy that aligns your resources with your values and the future you envision.

At Thrivent, I take a holistic approach to financial planning that goes beyond investments alone. Together, we'll focus on the areas that matter most to you, including retirement planning, risk management, tax-efficient strategies, and legacy planning. I believe money is not a goal in itself, but a tool that can help create a life of purpose, meaning, and lasting impact.

Before becoming a Financial Advisor, I built a successful career in supply chain and logistics management, where solving complex challenges and developing practical solutions were part of my everyday work. Today, I bring that same analytical and problem-solving mindset to helping clients navigate financial decisions and create plans tailored to their unique goals and circumstances.

My passion for financial advising stems from a desire to help others avoid common financial pitfalls and make informed decisions with confidence. Having experienced financial setbacks and lessons of my own, I understand the value of trusted guidance and the peace of mind that comes from having a clear plan. As a husband, father of adult children, and proud grandfather, I also understand the importance of protecting what matters most and building a legacy that can benefit future generations.

Beyond my work with clients, I am committed to serving others through leadership, mentorship, and community engagement. Through Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., I support efforts that promote leadership development and financial literacy for young men. I also serve in pastoral ministry, helping individuals and families navigate life's opportunities and challenges with wisdom, faith, and purpose.

When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me spending time with family, serving in ministry, or enjoying a ride on my Trek FX1.

#FinancialFreedomFriday One of the quickest ways to lose financial freedom is trying to look like you have it. The bigger house. The newer car. The luxury vacation. The clothes. The restaurants. The lifestyle you see other people posting online. But here's the problem: You can see what someone spends. You can't see what they owe. You can't see what they've saved. You can't see whether they're prepared for retirement. And you definitely can't see whether they're lying awake at night worried about how they're going to pay for it all. So why would you build your financial life around trying to keep up with theirs? Financial freedom requires being comfortable saying: “That may work for them, but it doesn't fit my plan.” There is freedom in knowing what matters to you, understanding what you can afford, and making decisions based on your goals instead of someone else's appearance. 📌 You don't need to look wealthy. You need a financial life that works for you. Stop comparing. Stop competing. Start planning. 📩 DM me. Let's build a strategy around the life you want—not the life someone else is showing you. #FinancialFreedomFriday #FinancialFreedom #FinancialPlanning #FaithAndFinance 📌 See thrivent.com/social for important disclosures.

#ThriveThursday | A Plan Should Help You Answer “Can I?” Can I retire when I want to? Can I take that vacation without hurting my future? Can I help my children or grandchildren? Can I give more? Can I make a career change? Can I handle it if life throws us a curveball? These are the questions behind the numbers. And too often, the answer is: “I think so.” But “I think so” isn't the same as having clarity. A coordinated financial plan helps you understand how today's decisions may affect tomorrow's goals. Sometimes the answer may be yes. Sometimes it may be not yet. Sometimes it may be yes, but we need to adjust something else. That's the value of planning. It's not about creating a binder full of numbers. It's about helping you make life's financial decisions with greater confidence. Because ultimately, you're not building a financial plan just to know what you have. You're building one to understand what you can do. If too many of your financial questions are still answered with “I think so,” let's talk. 📌 See thrivent.com/social for important disclosures. #ThriveThursday #FinancialConfidence #FinancialClarity #PurposeDrivenWealth

#WisdomWednesday The best time to find a leak isn’t when the ceiling collapses. A small drip may not seem like a big deal. So you put a bucket under it. You wipe up the water. You tell yourself you’ll deal with it later. But the water you see may only be a symptom of what’s happening behind the walls. Finances can work the same way. A little more credit card debt. An old 401(k) you haven’t reviewed. Beneficiaries you haven’t looked at in years. Insurance coverage that may no longer fit your life. A retirement strategy built for circumstances that have since changed. Individually, none of these may feel urgent. But small financial issues left unattended can become expensive problems. Wisdom isn’t waiting until something becomes an emergency before giving it your attention. It’s periodically looking beneath the surface and asking: “Is there anything here I should address while I still have options?” Because sometimes the smartest financial move isn’t fixing a crisis. It’s catching the drip before it becomes one. #WisdomWednesday #FinancialWisdom #FinancialPlanning #PlanWithPurpose 📌 See thrivent.com/social for important disclosures.
