About RONALD THOMAS

I help individuals, families, retirees, and professionals gain clarity and confidence around some of life's most important financial decisions. Whether you're preparing for retirement, planning for education expenses, protecting your family, or thinking about the legacy you want to leave, my goal is to help you create a strategy that aligns your resources with your values and the future you envision.

At Thrivent, I take a holistic approach to financial planning that goes beyond investments alone. Together, we'll focus on the areas that matter most to you, including retirement planning, risk management, tax-efficient strategies, and legacy planning. I believe money is not a goal in itself, but a tool that can help create a life of purpose, meaning, and lasting impact.

Before becoming a Financial Advisor, I built a successful career in supply chain and logistics management, where solving complex challenges and developing practical solutions were part of my everyday work. Today, I bring that same analytical and problem-solving mindset to helping clients navigate financial decisions and create plans tailored to their unique goals and circumstances.

My passion for financial advising stems from a desire to help others avoid common financial pitfalls and make informed decisions with confidence. Having experienced financial setbacks and lessons of my own, I understand the value of trusted guidance and the peace of mind that comes from having a clear plan. As a husband, father of adult children, and proud grandfather, I also understand the importance of protecting what matters most and building a legacy that can benefit future generations.

Beyond my work with clients, I am committed to serving others through leadership, mentorship, and community engagement. Through Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., I support efforts that promote leadership development and financial literacy for young men. I also serve in pastoral ministry, helping individuals and families navigate life's opportunities and challenges with wisdom, faith, and purpose.

When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me spending time with family, serving in ministry, or enjoying a ride on my Trek FX1.

#TruthfulTuesday — Legacy Takes a Plan Most people can answer this question: “Who do you want to leave your assets to?” Your spouse. Your children. Your grandchildren. Your church. A cause you care about. But knowing WHO is only the beginning. Have you thought about HOW they will receive it? Are your beneficiary designations current? Do your accounts, insurance, and estate documents all reflect the same intentions? Could taxes or other considerations affect what ultimately reaches the people or organizations you care about? Does your family know what you want—or are you assuming they'll figure it out? And perhaps the bigger question: Are you simply leaving assets, or have you actually planned a legacy? That's when I sometimes hear: “I didn't think about that.” And that's exactly why these conversations matter. Truth: A legacy doesn't happen automatically. It happens intentionally. You've spent years building what you have. The final part of the plan is making sure what you've built has the opportunity to accomplish what you intended it to accomplish. Your legacy should reflect your values, your priorities, and your wishes—not just what's left over. Let's think beyond what you're leaving. Let's plan for what you want it to do. #TruthfulTuesday #IDidntThinkAboutThat #LegacyPlanning #FinancialPlanning #PlanWithPurpose 📌 See thrivent.com/social for important disclosures.

#MoneyMovesMonday A financial plan shouldn't only prepare you for someday. It should help you live today, too. Sometimes people become so focused on saving for retirement, building investments, or leaving a legacy that they forget something important: Life is happening right now. Take the trip. Celebrate the anniversary. Create memories with your children and grandchildren. Support the causes that matter to you. Enjoy some of what you've worked so hard to build. Good financial planning isn't always about choosing between today OR tomorrow. Sometimes the better question is: How can I plan for today AND tomorrow? That's where strategy matters. This week's money move: Look at one thing you've been putting off because you're afraid to spend the money and ask: “Can my plan make room for this?” Financial freedom isn't just having money someday. It's having a strategy that gives your money permission to have purpose today, too. 📩 Let's talk about building a financial strategy that makes room for the future and the life you're living now. #MoneyMovesMonday #FinancialPlanning #FinancialFreedom #PurposeDrivenPlanning #LiveWithPurpose #Thrivent 📌 See thrivent.com/social for important disclosures.

#FinancialFreedomFriday There’s a difference between an unexpected expense and a financial emergency. The car needs a major repair. The air conditioner stops working. A deductible comes due. You have to make an unplanned trip. Life happens. But when every unexpected expense requires a credit card, a loan, or pulling money from somewhere intended for another goal, the problem may not be the expense. The problem may be that your plan never made room for life to happen. Financial freedom isn’t a life where nothing goes wrong. It’s building enough margin into your financial life that when something does go wrong, you have options. That means emergency savings. Appropriate protection. Managing debt. Understanding your cash flow. And creating a strategy that doesn't require everything to go perfectly. 📌 A good financial plan doesn't assume life will cooperate. It prepares you for when it doesn't. That kind of preparation can turn “How are we going to pay for this?” into “We planned for moments like this.” 📩 DM me. Let’s talk about whether your financial strategy has enough room for real life. #FinancialFreedomFriday #FinancialPreparedness #FinancialPlanning #FaithAndFinance 📌 See thrivent.com/social for important disclosures.
