About Ron VanSteenacker
Ron is a Financial Advisor with Thrivent for the past 11 years who specializes in retirement income planning and college planning. He grew up in New Jersey but currently resides in Mechanicsburg, after moving from the Pacific Northwest region in 2007. In June 2023, Ron married his wife Kim surrounded by all their friends and family. He has three children and three step children; Reagan, Zicora, Ledahnein, Rebecca, Ryan and Neila. Reagan is currently working as a paralegal at a law firm in Harrisburg, PA, Zicora is teaching at a charter school in Camden, NJ, Ledahnein is in his junior year at Temple University studying Psychology, Rebecca is in her junior year at Juniata College studying Biology, Ryan will be starting school at Shippensburg in the Fall where he will study Cyber Security and Neila will be entering her junior year of High School at CASA in Harrisburg where she has a theater art focus. When he is not in the office, you can find Ron working on home renovation projects or traveling with his wife and family. He also enjoys golfing with his family and friends as well as woodworking in his garage.
Ron joined Thrivent because he thoroughly enjoys guiding families in achieving their financial goals while staying true to their faith. He values our teams “3 To” strategy; to understand, to guide, to achieve and uses this to fulfill his client’s needs. The long-term relationships he has built with his clients have inspired him to continue to serve the community for the past decade and he looks forward to nurturing these relationships while building new ones.
