Brent Fassett
Brent FassettFinancial ConsultantCFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, FIC, CLTC®, CKA®

Brent started as a financial advisor in 2009 before he could even grow whiskers and is the co-founder of Pursuit Financial Group. He is the “puzzler” on the team who loves to piece together focused, cohesive strategies around client priorities. He loves to bring tax-efficient creativity to the table for clients transitioning into and through retirement, as well as for those looking to steward financial gifts to the next generation or charity. Brent is both a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA), meaning he brings expertise to clients with an intentional faith perspective.

At home, Brent is surrounded by a beautiful family. He and his wife Emily parent three amazing kids, Elsie, Anja and Elias. When he’s not knee deep in financial strategies, he loves spending time coaching youth soccer for his girls, wrestling with and giving tummy blubbers to his toddler son, and occasional getaways with Emily. He serves as Chair of the Alumni Board at Bethany Lutheran College and on the Board of Directors at Lutheran Island Camp. He also pretends he can still play soccer at a college level, but the amount of limping he does around the office proves otherwise.

Courtney Kohorst
Courtney KohorstOperations Manager

Our resident “task master” Courtney keeps our practice running smoothly and keeping the team focused on the important things. As Operations Manager of Pursuit Financial Group, she oversees administrative and client procedures and ensures that we are efficient and productive in meeting goals for our clients. Courtney joined the team in 2020 and has held a variety of roles since she began. Prior to joining Pursuit Financial Group, she was an Administrative Assistant at a local construction company and an Event Sales Coordinator at a popular local rental company.

When Courtney is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her Air Force veteran husband Eli, as well as family and friends. She loves traveling to warmer locales in winter and soaking up the sun in the Lakes Areas during summer. Watch out! She regularly attends kick boxing and yoga classes at the gym.

Kayty Guy
Kayty GuyOffice Manager

Kayty joined Pursuit Financial Group in 2023 as Office Manager. She provides much needed administrative support to the team and is our primary scheduler for connecting our advisors with clients. While she is regularly deep in developing practice processes, carrying out unique tasks and helping us reach practice goals, her favorite part of this role are the connections and conversations she makes with every client that comes in. Kayty brings her calm professionalism to a fast paced and busy practice.

When not on the clock, Kayty often finds herself soaking up the sun on the pontoon during summer or on the ice rink for broomball during chilly months. She frequently attends concerts of her favorite artists, and the team loves hearing about her adventures when she gets back. Her faith is the center of her life, and she volunteers much of her free time at Camp Shamineau, leading worship by singing and playing guitar or working in the coffee shop with her closest friends.
