Frequently Asked Questions
Who do you typically work with?
Our team most often works with individuals and families who are actively engaged in a Christian church and who desire to integrate their faith into their financial decisions. These clients tend to connect most naturally with our planning process, which is rooted in biblical principles and Scripture‑anchored guidance. That said, every client relationship is unique. We are thoughtful about ensuring there is alignment between a client’s goals, values, and our approach.
How does faith influence your advice in real financial decisions?
We believe faith—both ours and our clients’—plays a meaningful role in financial decision‑making. This conviction is why Amy obtained the Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA®) designation. CKA® training equips advisors to apply biblical wisdom to real‑world financial decisions, helping clients think through stewardship, generosity, contentment, and long‑term impact. Rather than separating faith from finances, we view them as closely connected.
Is your team commission‑based, fee‑based, or both?
We meet clients where they are. Our firm offers both fee‑based financial planning and commission‑based solutions, depending on a client’s needs, goals, and stage of life.
Our focus is not on fitting clients into a single model, but on providing guidance and solutions that are appropriate for their situation and aligned with their values.
Are you fiduciaries?
In many client relationships, we are legally held to a fiduciary standard. Regardless of structure, we choose to act in a fiduciary capacity—placing our clients’ interests first and providing guidance aligned with their goals and values.
How is your planning process different from traditional financial planning?
Traditional financial planning often focuses primarily on numbers, performance, and projections. Our process goes further by intentionally incorporating your faith and values, and by considering how Scripture may inform financial priorities, decisions, and long‑term direction.
What areas of financial planning do you cover?
We provide guidance across a broad range of planning areas, including:
- Retirement planning
- Investment strategy
- Tax‑aware planning (coordination and strategy, not tax preparation)
- Insurance and risk management
- Estate and legacy planning (coordination, not legal services)
- Generosity and charitable giving
- Cash flow and goal planning
Our goal is to help clients understand how these areas work together, rather than addressing them in isolation.
Do you coordinate with CPAs and estate attorneys?
Yes. We regularly coordinate with CPAs and estate attorneys and believe this separation of roles is both practical and biblical. By having your CPA, estate attorney, and financial advisor serve as separate professionals, you benefit from multiple trusted perspectives and the ability to “check counsel” (Proverbs 15:22) when making important decisions.
What states are you licensed in?
Our Financial Adviser Partners are licensed in AL, CO, DE, FL, GA, ID, MD, MI, MS, MT, NC, NJ, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA. Licensing requirements vary by state, and we confirm proper licensing before providing advice or recommendations. Additional states are considered when appropriate.
Do you work with churches, schools, or charitable organizations?
Yes. In addition to individuals and families, we work with Christian churches, schools, and charitable organizations. This includes support for employee retirement plans, endowments, generosity strategies, and educational seminars. We also offer resources related to charitable giving, digital safety, and legacy planning to help organizations serve both their leadership and broader communities.
