When Mike joined Thrivent after his time at Merrill Lynch, he became part of the Johns Creek location, working alongside two veteran advisors. Though he was not new to the industry, Mike appreciated the support and collaboration that came from working in a team environment.
After their retirement, Mike continued to build upon that strong foundation, leading North Point Financial Advisors. He leads the practice from a place of being a deeply involved husband and father—a man who shows up every day for those he loves and cares about.
As a team, we are all deeply connected to our families and communities, and these relationships remain our guiding principles and driving force. We choose to work together because we share a passion not only for financial advice and products but also for the Dedicated Planning Process and the client relationships it fosters. We believe that money is a tool, not a goal, and that when managed wisely, it can lead to greater personal fulfillment and a better life for our families.
Mike and his wife Allyson live in Cumming on Lake Lanier with their 3 children and 2 dogs. They love boating on the lake, enjoying nature. and supporting their kids’ wide-ranging extracurricular activities. They are active in their church and community and seek out quality time with many close friends.

Mary lives in Cumming with her 2 high school aged sons, with 4 daughters in college and beyond. An Atlanta native, after 25 years in Cumming with 6 children in the local schools, churches and sports, she loves running into friends around town. She stays active and outdoors as much as possible. She loves running, golf, tennis, gardening, and her daughters calling every day.

Lisa lives in the North Ga mountains with her husband Jim and their two dogs, a Papillon named Wink, and a King Charles Cavalier named Molly. She has 4 grown sons who live close by whom she gets to see often.Lisa and Jim love bring active in their community and having the ability to travel the world.

John lives in Cumming with his wife Nancy. They have 2 grown sons and 3 grandchildren. When John is not in the office or with his grandchildren, he can be found fishing. John loves fishing with family and friends and is willing to travel! John has been a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for 32 yeas and is a faithful visitor to local nursing homes bringing his signature cheerful conversations.

Alyssa lives in Norcross with her husband, Patrick, and their two sweet cats. A Gwinnett County native, she loves filling up her free time with a good book, great music, and plenty of outdoor activities (including cheering on the Braves and Atlanta United!). She has been a member with Thrivent since 2010 and started working as an office professional under her father, Jeff Huenniger, in 2021, bringing her wealth of client service knowledge to the NPFA team.
Rose and her husband Dell live in Johns Creek with their adorable dog Bucky. Their two adult children also live nearby, both of whom got married last year. Rose has been with Thrivent as a client of the practice and then as Client relationship manager to Mike Clifford for over 10 years.
