MY JOURNEY - Why I do this work

My experience with Thrivent started at an early age with my father working for (AAL) Aid Association for Lutherans (one of the predecessor companies of Thrivent). In high school, I worked at the corporate office as a security guard and eventually advanced to manage the security officer’s department. I liked the culture at the company and after trying my hand at some other careers found myself realizing my passion to help others and my love of analytics was a perfect fit to come back to Thrivent as an advisor. I enjoy connecting with people on an emotional level and really listening to what is important to them. I work alongside them utilizing my knowledge and experience to help them reach their goals. My greatest pleasure is seeing a client align their values with their financial goals and then helping them reach those goals.

I have three options when working with clients you choice what works best for you…

Fee-based Dedicated Planning – I put together a plan based on your values and goals and we meet regularly to discuss it and make sure we are on track.

Solutions Planning – We meet every 12-15 months to discuss your financial products along with various financial topics and how they impact you and your financial goals.

Financial Reviews – We meet as needed to discuss your products and if you need any further financial guidance.

My goal is to meet you where you are at in your financial journey and provide the guidance, knowledge, and experience to help get you to where you want to be.

MY FAMILY – What fills my heart

My wife, Lisa and I have been married since 2004 and have two amazing boys Joshua (15) and Andrew (12).  Staying connected as a family if very important to me. That is why taking an annual family vacation, participating in Boy Scout projects, going on road trips, camping, and even watching the Marvel movie series together as a family are all priorities for me. We moved from Wisconsin to Columbia, MO to be closer to my parents and younger sister. Having family close by is such a blessing, one I very much enjoy. Growing together in our faith at Alive in Christ Church in Columbia is also very important to me, that is why I choose to be part of the usher team.

MY PASSION – Making a difference where I can

I think it is important for all of us to give back and help where we can. That is why I enjoy being part of the following organizations and efforts:

Love Columbia – Loving People Forward….by connecting Columbia’s relationships and resources. Love Columbia serves anyone in Columbia who is struggling to provide their basic needs or improve their life and wants help to create a path forward. I enjoy being part of this organization that works hard to help the people right here in my back yard.

Alive in Christ Church – I enjoy volunteering at our church where needed including the Youth Group.

Our Family’s Newest Annual Project - Purchasing meals for 25 families during the holidays and seeing the joy and difference you made in their lives.
