About Mark Sannerud

I grew up in Granite Falls MN, with my parents and two sisters. I was blessed with a wonderful family, neighbors, and caring community. I grew up enjoying family activities, sports, hunting and fishing. I then attended Southwest Minnesota State University for a Business and Finance degree, as well as played football. It was while attending college that I was blessed in meeting my wonderful wife Joanelle. We have built a relationship over the past 42 years with God as our centerpiece. Joanelle has been a teacher in Granite Falls for the past 37 years. We were blessed with four wonderful children, two sons, Luke and Joseph, and two adopted daughters, Lydia and Sarah. We cherish our family as it continues to grow, with wonderful daughter in-laws, Heather and Nicole, son in-law Blaine, and four fantastic grandchildren, Kalli, Brody, Emery and Bristol.

I have spent my entire career working in the Non-Profit industry for most of the time in Health Care, where my passion of making a difference for people was served. When approached for starting a career with Thrivent and owning my own business happened, I did take longer than needed to evaluate this opportunity. While evaluating Thrivent's values and mission, it became clear to me that this was more than an opportunity, it was a way to help individuals and families with greater impact. I have been blessed with building meaningful relationships with my clients and their families, businesses, and community, this is by far my greatest accomplishment. It is so rewarding to see goals and dreams come to reality.

I spend my days relating to my clients, understanding their goals and dreams, helping build plans to achieve their goals and monitoring their progress while providing Faith, Clarity and Confidence. My biggest message for those lives I touch, is to start the conversation and planning. I cannot stress how important I believe it is to have a plan, receive guidance where you need it. It's never to early or too late to start planning for your future. I would be happy to sit down with you and help with any questions you have.
