I have truly led a blessed life. I have been exposed to a diverse array of careers and experiences that allow me to relate to all kinds of people regardless of background or experience.
Growing up on a small farm in central Minnesota taught me how to work exceptionally hard and be self-reliant. That experience continued when my parents opened an auto repair shop in Hutchinson, Minnesota where I worked side by side with my Dad every summer for over a decade. I learned how to treat people fairly, put others’ needs in front of ours, build a brand you fiercely stand behind and give every day your best effort.
I took those lessons with me to St. Cloud State where I pursued my dream of becoming a Biology teacher and coach. A year out of college I landed my dream job as High School Biology teacher in Walker, Minnesota. I was blessed to teach in that role for 17 years. During my time at WHA schools I held several coaching positions, however the one I am most proud of is my 15 years as the head boys’ basketball coach. During my time at the school, I developed many relationships with students and athletes that I cherish.
None of this is possible without my high school sweetheart, wife, and business partner Jill. We have been together since we were 16 years old. We grew up together, created goals together, raised 3 terrific kids together, and in 2012 took the biggest risk of our lives together. In 2012 we decided that it was time for me to leave education and enter the world of financial planning.
The decision to change careers was driven by the desire to help others while having the opportunity to control our own destiny and build something we could be proud of. Jill and I have 3 wonderful Children: Chelsea (Son in law Jordan), Jesse and Tyler. While all being very different, they all share the same traits of honesty, work ethic, humor, and standing by their name. Recently, we have been blessed with the greatest gift! We are proud grandparents to beautiful Addison Nicole Fevold! Born to Chelsea and Jordan on May 4, 2022! Such joy!
We live on Leech Lake, fulfilling a lifelong dream of living on a lake. We enjoy all things outdoors including boating, snowmobiling the trails to bars and restaurants, hunting, fishing, walking, and hosting family and friends at our house. We love to give our guests a tour of all that the Walker area has to offer. We now share our lives with our Yellow Lab Puppy Tessa who we really look forward to hunting with.
We focus on providing impartial advice that is always in our client’s best interest. We enjoy the relationships and friendships we form with our clients and continue to build a practice around people with similar values to ours.

I grew up in Litchfield, MN, population approximately 6,500 people. It was just the right size to experience small town life and attend a school that offered many different extra-curricular activities. I tried many different offerings growing up and loved participating in student council, dance, cheerleading and marching band the most. My family owned and operated a Chevy car dealership (Fenton Motors) and I loved riding in new cars and hanging out at the facility.
My favorite family memories included cheering on the Vikings, trips to see grandparents in Arizona and going to our cabin on Big Sand Lake in Park Rapids, MN. I loved bringing friends to the cabin, spending time on our boat, waterskiing and going to the movies.
I attended St. Cloud State University in 1990 and fulfilled my dream of becoming an elementary school teacher. Both being teachers Kyle and I landed jobs teaching in Walker, on Leech Lake. My specialty was in teaching kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade.
After 18 years of teaching, we decided to take a different path in life. Kyle as a Financial Advisor, me as the insurance support associate at Thrivent. Working at Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Elementary School, I met many great people and built relationships to last a lifetime. Relationships within this community is what I love most about working with Thrivent.
Spending time with Kyle and our children is what I love most in life! We are blessed to have our daughter Chelsea and son-in-law Jordan, living in the area (where they specialize in real estate). Son, Jesse is an apprentice to a chef in CO (Flagstaff House in Boulder), where we have been fortunate to visit on occasion. Son, Tyler is in his junior year at Moorhead State University MN where he is studying marketing and advertising. Recently, we have been blessed with the greatest gift! We are proud grandparents to beautiful Addison Nicole Fevold! Born to Chelsea and Jordan on May 4, 2022! Such joy!
Moving into a home on Leech Lake in 2014, has given us the opportunity to have a daily view of the lake and spend time on the boat as often as possible.
