Who is Kris Kelm the Financial Advisor?

I'm proud to be a Thrivent financial professional. I feel that God has called me to use the gifts that he has blessed me with, to help others. I do that by providing personalized financial guidance to people at all stages of life. I partner with my clients to build a financial plan that can afford you a life rich in meaning and gratitude. Who is Kris Kelm personally?

I am a small town, country girl, who grew up in Central MN. I married my high school sweetheart, Jim. We have 2 wonderful sons, Brandon & Brent. We have all been blessed to run our 4th generation crop and cattle farm in Eden Valley, MN. My biggest passions are my Faith, my family, helping others and (surprising to many) - cars. I love spending time with my family and friends. I really enjoy being outdoors, and taking in all of God's beautiful creations.

My "Why"

I lost my dad at a young age. He was a Vietnam vet, was on disability, and ended up getting cancer (pretty much everywhere) when he was only 53 years old. It was less that 7 weeks from when he was diagnosed until God called him home. I was 27 years old, in the first 2 years of our marriage and had a 7 month old baby. My life took a complete turn. I realized that life was not about climbing that corporate ladder or becoming a millionaire for me anymore. It was clear what was most important: to cherish the time and people that God has blessed me with. I can look back at off the stepping stones he placed before me, all of the opened & closed doors, and I know that he called me here for this purpose. To use the gifts that God has given me to help others. I am SO blessed to have the opportunity to do that every single day!
