My mind has been on the word "legacy" a bunch lately...maybe it's those tiny humans that have recently entered my life, but I know that for each of us, what prompts it and what comes to mind may look a little different. However, I see what it's like to not have family passing good things down to you. I also see every day the benefits of family that does pass good things down to you. I wonder what's the difference? How did some end up walking through my door with peace, freedom, and opportunities galore, while others come in and sit down with weights, struggles, confusion and bondage? Sometimes it's hard to see that it's not really the money or the assets that make the difference...it's the wisdom, the obedience, the faith that God guides us well if we listen. "He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper." - Psalm 1:3 The good news? A weak chain can be broken, and a new one started. The difference really boils down to purpose. What do you want to see happen and why? Decide to do something differently. Even if you feel like it's too late for you or your family, I submit to you that it's never too late! Maybe it's a season where you're seeing some fruit? Maybe it's a time to evaluate where you are planted? Maybe you just need someone to help talk through and find purpose with what you've been given. Looking to start that kind of a conversation? https://connect.thrivent.com/keith-knobloch#contact-form Photo creds to my daughter-in-love, Hannah, for capturing this moment with Ethan and Raelyn! Say what? 😲😲 You're suggesting we give our money away? Sometimes the best piece of advice is one that reduces my paycheck...one that takes money out of your account that I'm managing and either goes to the people or organizations you care about today, or goes to a different type of account or entity to be given away in the future. How confident are you in your financial future? How would you feel if I could show you you can feel confident? Do you know how much is "enough" for you? How much do you care about what you pay in taxes? How about your spouse? How about what your kids will pay? What kind of world do you hope to see while you're alive, and how could you impact it after you're gone? These are just a few examples of the questions you should be challenged with if you are in a state of surplus. If you feel like this is you...and you haven't been asked anything like this, let's talk. There's a much bigger picture that's worth looking at. https://connect.thrivent.com/keith-knobloch 👈 See thrivent.com/social for important information.
