It's Thrivent Choice Time! Today, we're highlighting the Boone County Historical Society a Thrivent Choice®️-enrolled organization. The Boone County Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to acquiring, preserving, interpreting, and displaying the historical artifacts and records of Boone County. Through its educational outreach programs, the Boone County Historical Society promotes public awareness of the region's diverse cultural heritage. We are so lucky to not only have this amazing museum in our area, but a many generous people who work hard to make it amazing!
Through Thrivent’s programs, the Boone County Historical Society is eligible to receive grant dollars, fee-free donations, and support from Thrivent Action Team service projects. A new Thrivent Choice Organization in 2025, Boone County Historical Society is now able to by receive your much appreciated directed dollars!

Lane's action team project included collecting items for residents in several nursing homes so they would have the opportunity to have a Christmas "shopping" day for family and friends. Traci's action team benefitted the Toys for Tots drive collecting toys and allowing parents to have a "shopping" day to pick out gifts for their loved ones.
Lane and Traci both take advantage of Thrivent Action Teams each year and our area communities benefit so much from their work! ACTION TEAM SPOTLIGHT! Katie Rugg knew there was a need at Boone Central Elementary and she used Thrivent's Action Teams to help by hosting a drive to gather socks, gloves, and hats for students.
