I grew up in Strasburg, CO (a small town east of Denver - my parents still live there). I’m a farm boy - grew up raising hogs & cattle. I graduated from Texas Lutheran College (now University) in 1994 with a degree in Mass Communications, and I came to work at Thrivent in the spring of 2004 after 8 years of working in broadcasting and haven't looked back since.
My wife, Jennifer, and I met while in college by being set up on a blind date, and we have now been married for 31 years. Jen has spent her career as a nurse (SNICU, Transplant & Flight). We have two daughters, Macie and Lauren. Macie works for a cyber security company in Fort Collins, and Lauren works as a paralegal and lives in Austin, TX. Of course, we also have two dogs...JunieB and Beans! My love of sports has taken me back to the ballfield, this time as a coach. For the past 3 years (and counting) I have had the opportunity to be an assistant coach with the Loveland High baseball program. Go Redwolves!
I am also a summer person, my years in Texas thinned my blood pretty quickly! Jen and I love being on the water with our kayaks, or just hanging out near the lake or river. Wintertime means DIY projects and usually me building something in the garage. I enjoy going to the gym on my lunch breaks, and I have run several Tough Mudder and Spartan obstacle races (even a few with my daughter Lauren).
Jeff also appreciates the importance of keeping your finances in shape, both for now and the future. Taking the fear out of planning, by creating an atmosphere where you can feel comfortable talking about your hopes and dreams, let Jeff help you put together a roadmap toward a financial future you can feel good about.
