My Journey
After my husband had an unfortunate accident, I realized just how unprepared our family was. Having stayed home to raise our children and not pursue a career, I knew things had to change and I needed to prepare and protect our family from the unexpected.
I started taking college courses, and in 2017 earned my Bachelors in Accounting from Central Methodist University. I then pursued and achieved my credentials to be a financial professional and help others protect their families too. I still felt as though I was not in the right place, that I was missing something. Then I found Thrivent; and I am excited and proud to be a part of organization where I am led by the same values and passions, both personally and professionally. Thrivent allows me to grow as a financial professional, but also as a Christian. The best part and most importantly, I get to help others grow as financial stewards, by doing the best with what they are given.
My Heart
I am grateful that the Lord has blessed me with a wonderful family, church family, and friends. My husband, John, pastors the Wortham First Church of God, where I volunteer as church clerk and children’s church leader. I also volunteer as a board member of Life Center for Independent Living in Farmington. LIFE, Inc. is a local non-profit who serves St. Francois and surrounding Counties with numerous assistant programs from transportation, assistive technology for communication, assistance with in home care for Veterans, employment services and more. We have two beautiful daughters, Jenna and Jenni. Jenna, our funny, brave, and loving young lady was diagnosed with Autism in 1998. We have been blessed to watch her achieve great accomplishments over the years and are looking forward to experiencing her next with her. Jenni, our loving, caring, and giving Christian is currently attending Central Methodist University for a Bachelors in Teaching. She also volunteers as our primary age children’s Sunday school teacher at the Wortham First Church of God.
My Passion
I enjoy helping people! My role as a financial professional allows me to meet a lot of people, which I love. It brings me joy to celebrate with clients when they accomplish their goals and learn they are on the right path for a successful retirement.
