Growing up in rural Nebraska has given me a great appreciation for what it takes to make a community thrive. Those small town values are ingrained in me and I love helping people and being involved with my community in any way I can.

I graduated from the University of South Dakota in 2006 with a degree in Dental Hygiene, I then accepted a position in the City of Yankton and have called Yankton my home every since. I love this community and I can’t imagine raising my two children in a more unique and phenomenal place.

After serving the Yankton community for 11 years as a dental hygienist I decided to take the biggest leap of faith to become a financial advisor. Many people told me going from the dental world to the financial world would be a complete 180. I however, have found that the two careers are very similar in that both fields require trust, care and a desire to help the people you serve. I am committed to caring for and helping each of my clients navigate their financial journey.  This is my true passion!

Vanessa is the Office Professional at our Laurel office, having been with the company since July 2024. In this role, she is the first point of contact for clients and visitors, managing phone inquiries, scheduling meetings and events, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily office activities.

Outside of work, Vanessa is actively involved in the Laurel community, participating in the library board, managing the farmers market, and coaching the local high school cheerleading team. This strong local connection highlights her dedication to supporting and giving back to the community.

In her free time, Vanessa enjoys reading, sewing, and further fostering relationships within the Laurel area.
