Blood Cancer United – Light The Night Walk & Fundraising

Our lead advisor, Bryan Jansen, proudly serves on the Board of Trustees and as Chairperson for the Visionaries of the Year campaign. A cancer survivor himself, Bryan was honored as Man of the Year in 2019, and his personal journey continues to fuel his commitment to giving back. He has set a lifetime goal of raising $1 million to support the life-saving research that made his recovery possible — and today, he's over halfway to that goal.

In 2025, our Gateway Associates team came together for our 9th annual Light The Night Walk, raising nearly $44,000 alongside our amazing community.

This year marks our 10th annual Light The Night Walk — and it's a milestone year for Bryan too, marking over a decade cancer-free.

🦸 Bryan is leading the fundraising charge as Chair of the Executive Challenge, going head-to-head with 20 other executive leaders across the greater Milwaukee area — all competing for one goal: raising as much as possible in the fight against blood cancer. Bryan's personal target is $50,000, and right now, every gift is matched, turning your generosity into even greater impact.

Join us at our celebration event at Matty's Bar in New Berlin from 6-9pm. This night is all about honoring how far our team has come, raising awareness for the cause, and celebrating the impact we're making together.

🚶 Suit up and walk with us on Thursday, September 17th, as our team walks together under a lantern-filled sky in downtown Milwaukee.
