Martin was originally from Decorah, Iowa and in 1991, he graduated from Luther College with a Bachelors degree in Business Management.  After graduation, he spent 2.5 years in the US Army with the 82^nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC.  He has been with Thrivent since 1999 and he has obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.  He is married to his wife Michele and has two children, Alayna (13) and Amelia (11).
