I have been a Financial Advisor for Thrivent for 28 years, serving our clients on their financial journey regardless of where they are now or how far they have come. I am passionate about providing our clients solutions around risk protection and investment strategies.

My faith is important and is reflected in how I engage with my clients. Being good stewards of our resources is revealed in how we manage our finances and care for those we love. Money is a tool, not a goal, and the way we spend our money, save our money, and ultimately give it away matter.

My wife, Kelly, is also a Thrivent Financial Advisor. Our oldest daughter lives in Texas, the middle daughter is in Kentucky, and our youngest daughter is age 12 and still at home. We are blessed with 2 adorable granddaughters, a charming grandson, and two more grandchildren on the way. We are also animal lovers and share our home with 3 dogs and 3 cats.

I am a member of Harrold Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, where I have shared my musical talents as a member of the choir and helped source leadership by serving on the nominating committee.

In my free time, I enjoy some occasional rounds of golf, games and puzzles, being outdoors, and vacationing and traveling to see our kids. I enjoy supporting several local charities, including historical societies, animal shelters, food banks, and those with a mission to help vulnerable children and adults.

I have spent over 20 years as a Financial Advisor serving our clients on their wise with money journey. I am especially passionate about helping create for our clients a successful distribution and legacy plan that reflects their values and includes the people and organizations they care about.

My faith is key to how I engage with my clients, because when we bring God to our money conversations it can change everything. It changes how we see money, how we use money and how we give it away for the things that really matter.

Kirk, my husband of 16 years is also a Thrivent Advisor. We have three beautiful daughters, two amazing sons-in-law, 2 joyous grand-daughters an adorable grand-son and two grandchild on the way. We are all animal lovers with dogs, cats and fish rounding out our family.

I am a member of Harrold Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church where I have served on council, teach Adult Sunday School and have been a member of various committees all to support the mission and ministry of our congregation. In my free time I am working on a Master’s in Christian Apologetics from Liberty University and enjoy traveling and visiting with our growing family. My favorite local charities are the Westmoreland County Foodbank, Westmoreland Children’s First and the YWCA.

Prior to working at Thrivent, I was a School Psychologist in Phoenix, Arizona. While I had advanced educational degrees, I quickly learned that I didn’t know anything about money and finances and didn’t even understand how my own benefits, at school, worked! I met a Financial advisor in Phoenix who helped me out so much that I ended up switching careers and working with for almost six years before moving back to my hometown of Erie, PA. It’s hard to believe, but today, I have over 19 years of experience with Thrivent.

I enjoy helping people prepare for retirement so they can enjoy the things they do with comfort and confidence. I also assist retirees with tax and estate strategies in order for them to leave as much money as they can to their kids, grandkids, and Churches or charities.

I am married to my wife Liz. I have two kids, Luca and Tara. When I'm not helping people with their finances, I enjoy competing in triathlons, running, swimming, and cycling. This summer, I will be competing in my third, half-Ironman distance triathlon!

My family and I are currently members of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where my wife and I are Eucharistic Ministers. Until recently, I played the bass guitar and was involved in the worship bands at McLane Church in Edinboro and Erie, and Recharge at Luther Memorial Church in Erie.  I am also involved in the local branch of Habitat for Humanity.

While Thrivent does not provide specific legal or tax advice, we can partner with you and your tax professional or attorney.

Since becoming a Thrivent financial advisor over 17 years ago, I have been committed to helping people reach their goals through in-depth financial guidance.

I have really appreciated building long-lasting relationships, and it has been especially satisfying to help people achieve their financial goals. In my heart I know this is the role I was meant to serve, and this is the company I was meant to represent.

I have been married to my wife, Jennifer, for over 29 years. She and I were born and raised in the Pittsburgh area. During our marriage we have lived in great cities such as Erie, PA, Cincinnati, OH, Austin, TX, and Chicago, IL. We enjoy spending time with our amazing daughter, Amanda, as well as the rest of our friends and family. I can truly say I am spoiled in life!

I look forward to working with those who need assistance. Whether it is building a strong financial foundation, saving for retirement, or leaving a legacy, my goal is to provide the education necessary for one to achieve their goals.

Do you have a crystal ball?

          Can you predict the future?

          Well neither can I.

In fact, nobody can predict the future.

But planning for the unexpected can help you prepare for the unknown.

Prepare for the worst but hope for the best. Don’t wait for a tragedy to dictate your future.

I lost my dad suddenly during my first year of college. Remembering the impact, not just emotionally, but it also removed choices for all of our futures. My parents had plans in place, a small life insurance policy, dad had a pension plan at his job of 30 years. They were slowly paying off their house.

However not asking the right questions or understanding the assets you think you have-can have unforeseen results.

Although dad had the years in, the fine print said he was too young when he died, mom received not a penny from his pension. It meant she was going to work full time for the rest of her life, my brothers and sister didn’t even think about going off to school, they just took jobs to help mom and start prepping for their eventual independence.

As for me, it put the cost of my education solely on my shoulders. I could no longer even think about getting any sort of financial help from my family. I vowed to take charge of my life and take control of the availability of choices for me and for my future family.

It also made me a fierce advocate for other women. To help them to always have choices, to help have control of their path.

That is why my goal is to help women prepare for the journey ahead, making sure they and their loved ones are protected with a plan in place to enjoy the life they have envisioned.

A big part of why I love my job comes from working for a Fortune 500 financial services organization that puts people before numbers. At Thrivent, we’re a not-for-profit fraternal benefit society that helps more than 2 million Christians be wise with money and live generously. They also allow me to live generously and stay involved with organizations near and dear to my heart.

I have been the office manager of our Thrivent Erie office for over 9 years. Though I provide administrative assistance to our financial advisors, I bring the biggest value by assisting our clients. Whether it is me reaching out to clients, or clients calling to speak with me, I look forward to helping in any way I can.

I am an active member of Luther Memorial Church in Erie, PA. Along with serving on various committees at church, I am currently a member of the church council. Every year I organize the Kenneth Snider Memorial Car Cruise for my Church. This is a big fundraiser that raises funds for different organizations in need. My father started this Car Cruise back in 2012 allowing him to bring the community together to experience two of his passions joined together, faith and cars. Since his passing in 2014, the Car Cruise was renamed in his memory, and I have been organizing it ever since.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am a huge Harry Potter fan. My other interests include watching movies, crafting, and baking.
