When tragedy strikes, Thrivent clients and the community often want to reach out and help. That spirit of compassion is needed now more than ever as catastrophic tornadoes have deeply affected families and communities across Kankakee County in Illinois. Thrivent is coming alongside you to support those impacted by the devastation.
Here are three ways:
Make a donation; Thrivent will boost it!
Donate to support disaster relief efforts. For every $2 you donate to United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties through Thrivent's online giving platform Thrivent will add $1*.
Thrivent will also pay all the processing fees so 100% will go directly to the cause. **
Apply to lead a Thrivent Action Team
Jump into action and lead a Thrivent Action Team with your friends, family and co-workers.
When you apply, input “Disaster 2026” in the Promo code field to expedite the shipping of your Thrivent Action Team kit.
Note: Apple or Google Pay users- choose the electronic credit card option on the application to receive the seed money within one business day of approval.

If you are an eligible Thrivent client, click hereto direct Choice Dollars to organizations helping with Disaster Response efforts.
*Thrivent will provide a $1 match for every $2 donated to United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties. This match will run until the $20,000 cap is met or May 22, 2026, the sooner of the two. Donations must be made through Thrivent's online giving platform. Donations raised through this campaign will go towards the Tornado Disaster Response.
**Thrivent will pay up to $300,000 in online processing fees per calendar year for personal donations made through Thrivent's online giving platform.
