Today was a full-heart kind of day 💗✨
We’ve been building a community for a group of young widows (our youngest is just 29), and this was our second gathering together.
Our first event was last summer with a small bus trip to Weston for a day of education with Thrivent, lunch, and lots of meaningful conversation.
Today, we gathered again for brunch 🥐☕ and worked on an Action Team project to assemble “Hug in a Mug” gifts — something they could keep or pass along to a friend 🤍
Each widow also received a rose 🌹 as our small Valentine’s Day reminder that they are seen, valued, and loved.
Not everyone could attend, but these snapshots capture the spirit of this group beautifully.
We like to say this is an “invitation-only” group that you never want an invitation to… but if you do receive one, this community is here for you.

With all the craziness in the world, today was a perfect day to remind me of why I do what I do. I’m working late, but I don’t even care.
Got to spend my afternoon with the sweetest lady who will turn 97 in just a few short weeks. We talked more about her dear friend who passed away and was her scrabble buddy than we did about her accounts.
Spent the other part of my afternoon with a sweet couple. Well established and strong, but there were tears in his eyes as he told me that he was officially retiring and would be selling all his farm equipment this year. He knows he has to for his health, but it doesn’t make it any easier.
I am honored to be a part of the circle they trust.
