About Christine Ostendorf

I started my role as a Developer in April 2025 after spending 2.5 years as a Financial Advisor. My journey into financial advising was inspired by my desire to help people—especially those in my community of teachers and farmers—understand their finances in a way that truly makes sense for them. I love being the person who can break things down at their level, especially when it comes to taxes and farming. It’s fun and fulfilling to see those “aha” moments when things click.

I was drawn to Thrivent because of its faith-based approach. God is my everything, and I knew my work needed to reflect that too. What I enjoy most about being a Financial Advisor is helping people make sound decisions and seeing how our company empowers clients to give back to the causes they care about.

I’ve been blessed with a strong support system—my sisters are always cheering me on, even when we don’t see eye to eye on everything. And I’m especially grateful to my mentor, Lindsay Waters. Her guidance and example, especially as a successful professional and mom of four, have made a huge impact on me. One of my proudest accomplishments was being named Rookie of the Year in 2023. That year started with me having a baby on January 4th and moving into a new home, so I never imagined I’d make conference, let alone receive such an honor!

Outside of work, I love serving at my church. I have a Masters in Theology, and teaching the faith—especially to my four kids—is a true passion. As for hobbies, well, with four little ones, my main pastime is drinking lukewarm coffee and soaking up the beautiful chaos of family life.
