Fundraising for Fairview Masonic NICUAt the heart of our mission is a commitment to giving back and making a meaningful impact in the lives of families facing difficult circumstances. To support the Fairview Masonic NICU, we participated in a special week-long donation drive, partnering with local businesses and community organizations to bring people together for a great cause.
To start the week, we visited two YMCA locations to raise awareness and encourage donations. Our first stop was the St. Paul Midway YMCA, where we collaborated with Corner Coffee to offer a special incentive—anyone who donated received a free cup of coffee as a token of appreciation for their generosity. It was a wonderful morning filled with conversations, community engagement, and a shared commitment to supporting families with newborns in need. Later in the week, we continued our efforts at the Forest Lake YMCA, where we partnered with Coffeesmith to provide coffee to donors. This event allowed us to connect with even more individuals who were eager to contribute to the cause.
After a full week of collecting donations, we gathered all contributions and prepared them for delivery. Thanks to the incredible support from our community, we were able to provide essential items and financial contributions to help families at the NICU. In addition to the donations, Bethel’s Rock Church in Richfield stepped in to assist with the final delivery, bringing goodie bags filled with thoughtful gifts for parents who are navigating the challenges of having a newborn in intensive care.
Recently, our action team partnered with a local women’s shelter to bring joy, support, and educational resources to the children who are currently attending school while living at the shelter. Understanding the unique challenges these young learners face, we came together with a shared purpose: to provide meaningful tools that spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence. We thoughtfully gathered school supplies and created a diverse collection of learning games, which were printed and packaged with care for the shelter’s tutors to use. Each activity was designed to be both engaging and developmentally supportive, helping the children practice essential skills while having fun. In total, we assembled over ten unique activities—ranging from literacy-building games to interactive puzzles and creative worksheets. These boxes weren't just filled with materials; they were filled with love, intention, and a deep commitment to serving our community.
