Colin is a Financial Advisor who focuses on overall financial planning including investment management and protection planning for his clients. He has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from John Carroll University as well as a MBA from Ashland University. Colin also has his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation. Prior to joining Thrivent in 2008, he worked for JPMorgan Chase.

Colin and his wife Melissa, who also works for Thrivent as a Manager of Engagement, live in Hudson, OH and have a daughter, Ava. He spends much of his free time on a soccer field watching Ava and still plays himself in a men’s league. Colin and Melissa also support and volunteer their time at local charities including Building Hope in the City.

Mary Jo is a Financial Advisor who focuses on overall holistic financial planning including investment and risk management, retirement income planning, tax diversification and legacy planning. She has a BA from Notre Dame College of Ohio and has the professional designations, Retirement Income Certified Professional from the American College of Financial Planning, and the Certified Long Term Care designation. Prior to joining Thrivent, Mary Jo worked in the Regional Banking Industry. She serves clients in the greater Northeastern Ohio area with offices in Mentor, Westlake, and Stow. 

Mary Jo and her husband, Don, reside in Mentor, Ohio. They are active members of Pilgrim Lutheran Brethren Church in Mentor and enjoy spending time with friends and family along with vacationing in the warm weather.

Ryan is a Financial Advisor who focuses on overall financial planning, investment management and protection planning for his clients. He has a B.S. from Indiana Wesleyan University and an M.A. from Geneva College. Ryan has his certified Long Term Care designation and has worked with Thrivent for over five years. He serves clients in the Wooster, Akron/Canton, and Cleveland Area. 

Ryan and his wife, Brooke, live with their daughter in Wooster, Ohio. They are active in their local church and community and are avid Buckeyes.

Angela joined our team in 2023 and provides exceptional client service as a fully licensed Practice Support Associate. Prior to joining Thrivent, Angela worked in the manufacturing industry and engineering fields. She has a BS in Electrical Engineering and a MS in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University.

Originally from Michigan, Angela currently resides in Hudson, Ohio, with her husband, Neil, and their 3 children. In her free time, she is a deacon at her church, a leader of the Hudson PTO, and volunteers with the Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio.

Debbie joined Thrivent as an Office Professional in August of 2024. She is a native to Northeast Ohio and currently lives in Elyria with her husband, Eric. Debbie’s multi-faceted career includes many years in hospital nursing, time spent as a patient advocate and most recently the fun job of event planning. Her current role at Thrivent will allow her more time to spend with her grandchildren and pursuing her hobbies of cooking, reading, and decorating.

Sharron is a senior on our Remote Practice Support. With seven years of financial industry experience at Thrivent, she is familiar with and assists in keeping our practice operations running smoothly behind the scenes to allow for exceptional client service to be priority. Her interests outside of work include outdoor family adventures, reading, and culinary arts.

Erika has been working with Thrivent in security licensed positions since 2021. She is committed to accurate and efficient customer service. Outside of work Erika enjoys sports, activities with her children, and fostering puppies. 

Genie joined our Remote Practice Support team as a licensed colleague in 2024 after serving as a Virtual Financial Advisor here at Thrivent. She understands the importance of personalized and convenient financial guidance that prioritizes clients values, needs and goals, and she is passionate about providing a great client experience. Outside of work, she enjoys serving her community and making new memories with her family. 

Whitney joined Thrivent and our Remote Practice support team in the spring of 2023. She has worked in customer service for 10 years with varying experiences in different industries. Her passion is to help each client with a positive and friendly attitude. In her free time she enjoys traveling, trying new foods, reading, watching movies, and attending professional football or soccer games with her husband.
