Making Waves for Awareness

Katherine is no stranger to diving in and making waves—both in her professional and personal life. As a dedicated financial advisor, she excels at assessing client needs and guiding individuals and families toward achieving their financial goals.

Outside the office, Katherine’s competitive spirit shines through as a member of Swamp Water Aquatics of Gainesville. Her commitment to staying active and connected to her community has also inspired her to take meaningful action where she sees a need.

Each year, Katherine hosts “Making Waves for Awareness,” a swim-a-thon dedicated to raising awareness for autoimmune encephalitis (AE) and generating support for organizations like the Autoimmune Encephalitis Alliance. Her passion for this cause is deeply personal: after witnessing a family member endure a misdiagnosis due to lack of awareness about AE, Katherine became a devoted advocate.

Through her fundraising efforts and community outreach, Katherine has pledged to ensure that more people understand autoimmune encephalitis and its profound impact on individuals and families. Whether she’s in the pool or in the office, Katherine is committed to making a difference—one wave at a time.

Scout Community

Greg’s passion for service shines through his many collaborations with local Troops of Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America). As a dedicated mentor, Greg introduces youth to essential life skills—including personal finance, time management, and career exploration—by guiding them through the Personal Management merit badge.

Greg also shares his musical talents as a Bugling Merit Badge Counselor, assembling Scout Buglers each month at Marietta National Cemetery. Through bugling, he inspires young scouts and channels his love of music into a powerful purpose: honoring active military members and veterans with stirring musical tributes.

Beyond his work with individual scouts, Greg loves bringing clients and scouts together to make a meaningful impact in the community. His efforts support cause organizations such as the Atlanta Area Council of Scouting America and Taps For Veterans, strengthening ties between financial stewardship and community impact.

At Avonlea Financial Group, Greg embodies the belief that true financial stewardship extends beyond numbers—it’s about building community, nurturing future leaders, and serving with heart.
