Prior to my time with Thrivent, I was a Youth Pastor at First Lutheran Church overseeing a comprehensive program of nearly 500 young believers. I found great joy and gratitude in guiding young people to the love of Christ. At the same time, I was serving and experiencing burnout as a Chaplains Candidate with the North Dakota Army National Guard. I faced the difficult decision to either continue in professional ministry or grow into a new role somewhere new.

It was a fellow Soldier who pointed out that Thrivent was hiring for a Financial Advisor position in Fargo, and with great prayer, I threw my name in the ring. Four years later, I’ve done more ministry with my role at Thrivent than I ever did as a Youth Pastor or Chaplains Candidate.

Within my role as Market Director, my job is to search for, cultivate and invest in the next generation of professional advisors. The call to create bridges between our faith and our finances is rapidly growing, be a part of this movement!

My family lives in Fargo, North Dakota and are firm believers in the power of North Dakota nice. We have the greatest and kindest people in the world, so it only makes sense that we’ve planted roots here. In our free time we’re attempting to play pickleball, strolling through local neighborhoods, and frequenting some of the phenomenal local Fargo-Moorhead eateries.
