About Alex
Alex was born and raised in Southern California. After high school, he spent two years volunteering as a full-time missionary in Mexico City. Later, he studied at Brigham Young University and, subsequently, the University of Arizona. Prior to coming to Thrivent as a Financial Advisor, Alex had worked as an educator teaching Spanish for about 15 years. His former role as a Spanish professor at Concordia College is what brought him and his family to Fargo-Moorhead in 2019. He and his family loved the area so much that, even after changing careers, they chose to stay. Alex is happily married and is the proud father of four children.
Alex in the Community
Alex is passionate about helping people and serving his community, which is what originally led him to the field of education. After feeling that he could have a bigger impact outside of the classroom, he left to help people through financial planning.
As a proud Eagle Scout himself, Alex serves as a Boy Scout merit badge counselor. He is a member of the Moorhead Rotary Club, whose motto is Service Above Self. He also serves in his local congregation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
