My name is Matthew Oleson, and I have been in the financial planning industry since 2004. I have been happily married to my wife, Kacy, since 2007 and together we have five wonderful kids. We have recently ended our journey as foster parents for over a decade after adopting 3 of our 5 kids. We remain dedicated to helping kids in foster care, as well as many other in our community by being involved in various local non-profit organizations. Living out my Christian faith by being generous to others is one of the things I enjoy most. Being a part of the Thrivent community, I have been able to do this more than I could have anywhere else. I am passionate about helping my clients learn to be wise with their money - so that they too can live generously.

Growing up I enjoyed watching my father create long-lasting relationships with his clients as their financial professional and was thrilled to begin working with Thrivent in 2011 so I too could do the same. Being wise with money is a lifelong journey that’s uniquely yours--one that I will not take lightly. Every day I wake excited to provide financial guidance to Christians in the greater Pasco area including Land O Lakes, Lutz, Trinity and Wesley Chapel areas.

Outside of work, I am blessed to enjoy life with my high school sweetheart and four children. Our time together usually involves a college game day, school event or Scouting adventure, but no matter, it is sure to involve lots of laughter and chatter! Another highlight of our lives is being part of North Pointe Church and serving others across the street and around the world.

Faith, family and generosity are some of my highest priorities. Additionally, I have always been driven to serve my community. Thrivent shares these passions, and therefore it was an easy choice to join their team. For the first 20 years of my career, I served my community in the field of education. When I joined the Thrivent team, I knew that my mission to serve would continue and I would be able to use my teaching gifts to support those in my community in a new area--financial clarity. Financial services can be confusing and overwhelming, and I make it my goal to help those I serve by taking the time to support their financial understanding.

When I am not working, I can likely be found spending time with my family. My husband, Kevin, is a pastor serving a local church. We have 3 beautiful, smart, talented, and generous children. They keep us very busy with sports and other activities on a regular basis. As a family we enjoy watching sports or getting outdoors and doing something active. We also love to serve our community together as a family, as often as we can. There is truly no greater joy than to see your children sharing their faith and love with others. We pray that God gives them the same passion for faith, family, and generosity that we have modeled for them as their parents.

I married my beautiful wife Christine in 2009. Since, we have had our 4 beautiful girls Sofia, Ellie, Mia, and Ave. My wife and I are absolute foodies, as well as football fanatics, and love being outdoors doing anything. In 2017 I was honored to receive New Financial Representative of the year for the Florida Georgia region. The Thrivent New Financial Professional of the Year is designed to recognize continuous professional and business growth. I am committed to my family. My wife and I have been foster parents for over 10 years and are adoptive parents. Our oldest son is adopted, and we will soon be adopting identical twin girls. We have had many children in our home over the years - some that we have been able to guide as they have become adults. We were also blessed to have a child when we were unsure if we'd be able and are immensely grateful to the doctors who advised us during that process.

I am a nature lover, particularly enjoying hiking and camping. I have run five marathons over the years. However, don't ask me to run one now! I enjoy spending my free time reading - I'm an avid reader - or traveling and spending quality time with family.

We also have a wonderful dog that we rescued and adopted that is a golden retriever and Australian shepherd mix as far as we can tell.

Kacy Oleson is the wife of Matthew Oleson and mom of 5 kids. Kacy holds certifications in Visual Design and has worked in social media content for Escape Rooms and other entertainment venues. She brings these skills to the Advocate Wealth Advisors team as our Marketing Coordinator. Kacy has been with Thrivent since 2017 and loves what Thrivent stands for.

As a former educator and mom to four, Sally is proficient in multi-tasking! She is pivotal in our office's commitment to providing our clients with remarkable service and one-on-one attention. She and Steve make a great team in the office and out, as they are celebrating 26 years of marriage.
