Our team

Matthew joined Thrivent in 2007 with the goal of helping others combine their faith and finances as they navigate life’s uncertainties. Serving the community is also important to Matthew, and he is proud to have served as congregational president of Gethsemane Church, board treasurer of Duet: Partners in Health and Aging, and board member of Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona. 

Matthew lives in Tempe, Arizona, with his wife, Jennifer, and their two kids, Riley and Keegan. They attend Gethsemane Church. When not working, Matthew enjoys spending summer days playing in the pool with his family or escaping the heat in northern Arizona. He also loves to hit the links whenever time permits.  

Stacey began her career in financial services in 1998 and joined Thrivent in 2009. She is passionate about helping others navigate their financial decisions and walking with them along their path to success. Stacey specializes in connecting with clients, helping them discern their financial goals and then crafting an individualized plan to achieve successful results.

Stacey has an adult human son named Mac and two furry girl pups named Octavia and Rebekah Rain. Outside of the office, Stacey enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing golf, practicing yoga and being outdoors. 

Andrew joined Valley Consulting Group in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 2021. He moved to our Mesa, Arizona, office in 2022 to be closer to his extended family. Andrew has been in the financial services industry since 2012 and focuses on investment planning, retirement distribution strategies and helping families develop and understand their financial goals.  

When he’s not at work, you’ll find Andrew and his family hiking and camping in the Arizona mountains, golfing and attending his daughters’ high school extracurricular activities. 

Scott joined Valley Consulting Group in 2024 and lives in Gilbert Arizona, with his wife Lindsey and two daughters, Piper and Rory. He is an Arizona native and loves being outdoors whether that means hiking around the valley, being with his dogs in the backyard or walking the neighborhood with his family. Being a girl dad is his favorite title but his passion is connecting and helping others.

After retiring from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service as a Chief Petty Officer, Aaron became a financial advisor to help servicemembers, young families, and driven individuals create practical, personalized plans so they can thrive – not someday, but today. Aaron grew up on the east coast and has traveled not only the country, but the world and has learned that no matter where life takes you, financial clarity and confidence matter. He currently resides in Albuquerque, NM and joined Valley Consulting Group in 2025. Aaron is poised to service the Albuquerque metro area along with Rio Rancho, Los Lunas and the East Mountains.

When he’s not working, Aaron enjoys CrossFit, hiking the beautiful trails in New Mexico and spending time with his wife, Jona, and their two kids, Analeigh and Dylan. Whether it’s exploring new spots as a family, attending local events, or spending time outdoors, Aaron and his family are always looking for ways to enjoy life as a team. Aaron aims to bring the same sense of unity, balance and purpose to every client relationship.

Julie has been with Valley Consulting Group since 2021, leveraging 15 years of healthcare experience to deliver exceptional service and operational support. Recently returning to Arizona after working remotely, she is thrilled to support VCG's daily operations on-site at the Chandler office. Julie loves exploring new ideas and considers herself a lifelong learner. In her free time, you can find her relaxing with her two cats, Rose and Toby.
