About Trevor Petty
Trevor was born and raised in central Illinois. As a kid, his first job was as a paperboy and his dad helped him set up a mutual fund account to start saving and investing. His grandpa subscribed him to Kiplinger magazine and may have noticed something long before career decisions were really a consideration. After attending college at the University of Evansville, he would use some of those mutual funds as a downpayment on his first home and was often helping friends with advice as they tried to get off on the right foot financially.
Trevor eventually made his way to Greeley, Colorado while working as a campus minister. It was here that he met his wife Rachel and started a family. They have 3 children together, and his wife owns Mindful Massage and Bodywork. He is excited to have recently completed his last class toward his Master of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary. After 17 years of working in campus ministry, a good friend introduced Trevor to an exciting opportunity as an advisor with Thrivent.
Trevor is an avid reader, rock climber, loves sports, and enjoys getting outdoors with his family. There is often a Nuggets, Broncos, Avalanche, or Cardinals game on in the background at home. After serving as the director of a non-profit ministry for over a decade, Trevor is passionate about serving his local community and the individuals, families, businesses, and organizations looking to make a difference. He knows what it's like to lead when times are lean and the value of making every dollar matter. He and his family are part of their local church, Journey Christian Church, and he still serves on the board of directors for Impact Colorado where he used to work.
