I grew up in a small community in North Dakota. I attended the University of Minnesota-Moorhead. I graduated with two degrees-Political Science and Paralegal Studies in Estate and Tax. At college, I met my husband, Rick, in our Freshmen English class. We have three children. All three have attended and achieved college degrees. One of my passions is to help others understand many processes of education and education planning.
I have been involved with many school and community activities. Currently helping with the Hudson Backpack program and Hudson Housing Authority. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, golfing, quilting, volunteering for many organizations and congregations. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. Proudly serving Hudson, Stillwater, Lake Elmo, Afton, Lakeland, Roberts, Houlton, Burkhardt, Somerset, Boardman, Baldwin, River Falls, Ellsworth, Woodbury for local areas, as well as many clients in many states within the United States..

Doreen Bonk
Doreen starts her day by thinking about how she can be a blessing to someone. In her position as an office professional, she gets many opportunities daily to reach that goal.
Doreen grew up in the small town of Glencoe, Minnesota and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in the legal assistant program from University of Minnesota – Moorhead. She has been employed at numerous law offices and mortgage companies in various areas of the country. Most recently, she was a preschool assistant for 7 years at Trinity Academy in Hudson, WI. She and her husband, Jason have 3 teenage children who attend(ed) Concordia Academy high school in Roseville. They have lived in Hudson, WI for the past 17 years and currently attend Shepherd of the Valley Church in Afton, MN.
She has been a Thrivent member since she was a teenager. In grade school she used to “work” with her brother by helping their Mom stuff envelopes for the local AAL branch. She has been working as an office professional for Tracy Berglund at Thrivent since 2017. Her hobbies include attending children’s cross country, basketball, baseball and softball games, and sometimes camping and reading.

Amber Johnson
Amber graduated from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse in the College of Business Administration in December with a bachelor's degree in Finance and a minor in Mathematics. She did an internship with our office the summer of 2020. She loves spending time with her family and friends, especially in the great outdoors. Running, hiking, boating, and exploring new spots in nature are all a part of her summer fun. She's excited to start her career at Thrivent as a Practice Support Associate transitioning her knowledge and experience from college.
