MY STORY - WHY I DO THIS WORK
My experience with Thrivent started at an early age with my father working for (AAL) Aid Association for Lutherans (one of the predecessor companies of Thrivent). When I started college, I planned on studying physics and engineering but instead ended up focusing on economics, management, and marketing. After graduation I was considering jobs with other companies when my dad convinced me to give Thrivent and the financial industry a second look. The rest as they say is history. I have been full-time here since 2006 and enjoy helping people articulate their values, priorities, and goals. Combined they guide financial choices that help them live the life they always imagined.
As part of Cross Rivers Financial I focus on tax efficiency planning and asset management. Each member of our team has their own area of expertise and we believe that together we are better equipped to serve our clients varying needs. I enjoy creating an atmosphere for our clients and our team, where we are considered a friend not just a business transaction. An atmosphere where clients choose from several options on how we can best work together.
MY PASSION – WHAT BRINGS ME JOY
I have lived in Missouri my entire life, growing up in St. Louis County. I enjoy spending time around a bonfire, cooking BBQ, attending our family reunion at “The Best Little Fair” or attending sporting events for any of the growing number of nieces and nephews in the family. I have a passion for restoring old houses and vehicles. I have always been drawn to historic homes and loved watching the show “This Old House”. The current project house was built in 1858. I still have my first car, a 1972 Cutlass Supreme and have added a 1962 International Scout and 1953 Chevy Truck to my collection. I like to keep busy so having a project list longer than free time makes that easy.
MY DESIRE – MAKING A DIFFERENCE WHERE I CAN
I think it is important for all of us to give back and help where we can both financially and by volunteering. My faith is a priority for me, so attending church at Immanuel in St. Charles and serving on the school leadership team is one way I chose to spend my time.
I also enjoy supporting the following organizations and causes:
Crisis Nursery in St. Charles: Every child deserves to be safe and happy. The Nursery is the premier child abuse prevention program in the St. Louis region. Their exceptional outcomes, include a track record that 99% of children in their program remain free from abuse and neglect, they have set national and even international standards for child abuse prevention in other communities throughout the world.
