Our team

Born and raised in Cottage Grove, Dan joined Thrivent in 2004 after graduating from Gustavus Adolphus with a bachelor’s degree in business management. Anyone who knows Dan well knows his biggest hero is MacGyver. Like MacGyver, Dan is a creative problem solver who tries to take whatever is in front of him and find the most efficient and effective solution.  

Dan is actively involved in the Cottage Grove, Hastings and Woodbury Area Chambers of Commerce. He also serves on the Economic Development Authority for the City of Cottage Grove and is always finding ways to support local community organizations. 

Courtney joined our team in 2017 after a successful career in the beauty industry. Her experience behind the chair speaks to the emphasis she puts on building relationships and helping others with a smile. Courtney aims to provide extraordinary client service and consistently makes her clients’ needs a priority. She also strives to educate and empower people to live in alignment with their values and goals.  

In her free time, you can find Courtney loving up her family. She, her husband, Dan, and their children, Wren, Quincy and Severin, live in Cottage Grove and are active members of Crossroads Church. Courtney is true animal advocate and often fosters animals waiting patiently for their fur-ever homes. 

Andrew joined the Myers team in 2019 but has been with Thrivent since 2005. He has extensive investment management experience and a commitment to delivering quality client service. Andrew is especially adept at implementing investment solutions and complex financial planning strategies for high-net-worth households. Andrew is also passionate about teaching others how to invest responsibly and loves helping clients integrate their personal values into their portfolio.  

South Saint Paul is home to Andrew, his wife, Jenna, and their three elementary-age children. He is actively engaged in youth sports programs and serves as a board member for Dakota Soccer Club. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys golfing, playing board games, playing on rinks and slopes in the winter and hanging out with his family at their cabin in the summer.  

Brad joined our team in 2022 after working in higher education and ministry. His extensive experience in the nonprofit sector translates naturally to helping clients and spreading generosity in the community. Brad also has a heart for education—whether it be teaching a new concept or learning from others—and he’s always looking for ways to make his time with clients valuable. Many have said that Brad’s best trait is being able to turn complex scenarios into understandable solutions that can be implemented with ease. 

In Brad’s free time, he attends and serves at Eagle Brook Church, coaches on the ballfield and visits waterparks across the Twin Cities with his wife, Kristina, and their three children, Charlotte, Camden and Crosley. 

Josh joined the Myers team in 2022. After being born and raised in Northeast Wisconsin, he graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in mass communications and then worked for Coca-Cola for 12 years before joining Thrivent. Josh loves building relationships with clients and setting up a clear path to help them achieve their short- and long-term goals.  

Josh lives in Woodbury with his wife, Shannon, their one-year-old son, Jace, and their Vizsla, Vinny. In his spare time, Josh can be found attending any and all Gophers sporting events. He is also a proud owner of the Green Bay Packers and is passionately involved at Eagle Brook Church.   

Zach joined Thrivent in 2019 and the Myers team in 2021 and brings a high level of compassion to all he does. With a degree in finance, he enjoys analysis-related projects where he can dig into the details of complex financial scenarios.  

Zach lives in Eagan with his wife, Abby, newborn daughter, Vivienne, golden retriever, McKinley, and cat, Diego. He is an active member of Capital City Church in St. Paul and enjoys leading worship on Sundays. In his free time, Zach loves exploring the world through trail running, hiking, camping and fishing. His other hobbies include fish keeping, studying philosophy, bonsai tree care, drawing and rock climbing. 

Hailing from Minneapolis, Joe joined our team in 2023 after graduating with a finance degree from Saint John’s University and spending a year teaching English abroad in Spain.

Joe has a passion for customer service and loves getting to know people. His welcoming demeanor and ability to solve problems allows him to connect you to the right people, efficiently.

When Joe isn’t in the office, you'll usually find him on the golf course, soccer field, sand volleyball court, or at home cheering on his favorite sports teams. 

Dawn joined the Myers team in 2021 to help clients navigate healthcare, especially Medicare. She has extensive experience in customer service, sales and claims.  

Dawn loves the Minnesota Wild, Minnesota Gophers and rescuing pugs.  

Sophia is a recent Grand Canyon University graduate who started at Thrivent in 2022 as an intern while completing her degree in finance and economics. She is currently an office professional and is working to become a licensed financial advisor.  

Sophia is a Minnesota native, but she adores traveling to new places and meeting new people. She is beyond excited to be starting her career with the Myers team. 

Arlene is the founder of what has grown into the Myers team. She has been with Thrivent since 1996 and specializes in helping clients navigate Medicare.  

In her spare time, Arlene enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.  

Scott is the founder of our Eden Prairie office and has been with Thrivent since 2002. He has more than 40 years of experience in financial services.  

Outside of the office, Scott enjoys working at his apple orchard in Montgomery, Minnesota, and spending time with his wife, two adult children and granddaughter.
