About Tara Svatora

I'm proud to be a Thrivent financial professional. I provide personalized financial guidance to people at all stages of life. At Thrivent, we view money not as a goal, but as a tool — one that can afford you a life rich in meaning and gratitude. Hi there! I’m Tara Svatora — wife, mom, financial professional, and proud Nebraskan. My husband John and I live near Platte Center, where life moves fast (thanks to our kids), but the values stay grounded.

I grew up near Kearney, where one of the highlights of every year was Old Settlers Days — a celebration that taught me early on just how special community really is. After high school, I followed my creative side to the College of Hair Design and worked as a stylist for several years. Eventually, family life took center stage, and I stepped away from the salon to focus on being home full-time with our kids.

As our family grew and our kids got more independent, I felt a new tug on my heart — one that led me into the world of finance. I knew I wanted to do something that aligned with my faith, allowed me to serve others, and made a real difference in people’s lives. That’s when I found Thrivent.

At Thrivent, I help individuals and families make wise, values-based financial decisions. Whether it’s planning for the future, protecting what matters most, or finding ways to give generously, I’m here to help people use money as a tool to live with purpose.

When I’m not meeting with clients, you’ll usually find me in the garden, on the road with my family, volunteering at our church, or hollering for Husker volleyball. Our kids keep us busy with their own sports and activities, and we love every minute of it — even the chaotic ones.
